The Bee is a Legendary pet in Grow A Garden 2 built around defense. Once equipped, it patrols your plot and attacks anyone who tries to steal your fruit, making it one of the most direct anti-theft tools in the game.
Quick answer: Equip the Bee as an active pet, and it will swarm intruders in your garden. A player hit by the Bee is knocked unconscious and cannot move for a few seconds, which stops them from stealing your crops.
What the Bee does in Grow A Garden 2
The Bee is an offensive pet. Its passive makes it patrol your garden and swarm anyone who enters to take your fruit. This is different from pets that boost growth or income, since the Bee’s entire job is to protect what you have already planted.
When the Bee attacks an intruder, that player is knocked unconscious and locked in place for a few seconds. During that window, they cannot move or grab crops, which is usually enough to break up a steal attempt before it succeeds.
To get the effect, the Bee must be set as one of your active pets. An unequipped Bee sitting in your collection does not patrol or defend anything.

The Bee was added at the game’s release. Its look varies, usually appearing yellow and black, with rarer pink, white, and baby blue color variations.
How to get the Bee
The Bee is not sold in a fixed shop. Instead, it spawns randomly somewhere on the map, and you buy it on the spot when one appears.
With a 2.38% spawn chance, the Bee does not appear often, so being ready to move toward it the moment the notification shows is the most reliable way to secure one.

Active pet slots and Big or Huge Bee variants
You can run three active pets at a time. Expanding your active roster is an upgrade, with the first +1 max active pet slot costing 200,000 Sheckles. Putting the Bee in one of those slots is what turns on its garden defense.
The Bee also comes in size variants that scale both effect and cost. Big pets use 2x the ability and cost, while Huge pets are tracked as around 3x the ability, making a larger Bee a stronger deterrent against intruders.

Theft and protecting your Bee
Pets themselves can be stolen by other players. The steal price doubles each time a pet changes hands, so it climbs from 1M to 2M to 4M Sheckles and upward. A Bee defending your garden is useful, but it is also a valuable target, so it is worth keeping an eye on your own plot’s protection.
You will know the Bee is working when it actively chases and swarms a player who steps in to steal, leaving them stunned and unable to act for those few seconds. If nothing happens during a theft attempt, the most common reason is that the Bee is not currently set as an active pet.
