Everything known about the new healer and buffer arriving alongside Yangyang’s special-edition form.

Suisui is a new 5-star Resonator set to join Wuthering Waves in Version 3.5, arriving in the second banner phase right after Yangyang’s special-edition form, Xuanling. She is tied closely to Yangyang in the story, shares a fan-based fighting style rooted in classical dance, and is built to keep a team alive while pushing its damage higher.

Quick answer: Suisui is a Glacio Rectifier support who debuts in Phase 2 of Wuthering Waves 3.5. She works as an HP-scaling healer and buffer with a form-switching kit, and she is connected to Yangyang in both lore and gameplay.

Suisui character overview

Suisui is presented as a graceful, aristocratic character with golden hair, a flowing qipao, and gauze-like fabric that gives her a luxurious look. She wields a fan as her weapon, and her movements draw heavily from dance, with a Resonance Liberation animation that recalls the flying apsaras of Dunhuang murals. Like Yangyang, she carries her Tacet Mark in the center of her forehead.

Suisui’s kit and combat role

Suisui plays as a sustain-focused support. She is an HP-scaling healer who keeps the whole party topped up while also raising the team’s damage output. The standout part of her kit is a large domain effect, sometimes called “Ceaseless Landscape,” that she deploys through her Resonance Liberation. It functions similarly to the Shorekeeper’s field, building and increasing effect stacks while it is active.

That domain does two things at once. It raises the maximum stack limit of negative elemental statuses that enemies can carry, and it grants team-wide buffs that scale directly with Suisui’s Energy Recharge. In practice, that means building her toward Energy Recharge feeds straight back into how much she boosts the rest of your lineup.

Her kit also leans on form-switching. She can swap between two distinct stances using her Resonance Skill, which changes how she contributes during a rotation. Because of this flexibility, her exact best-fit team is still being worked out, with options ranging from a third slot in Glacio-focused lineups built around Hiyuki and Lucilla, to a sub-DPS partner for Xuanling, to a spot in Echo-centered teams.

How Suisui connects to Yangyang and Xuanling

Suisui is a member of Yangyang’s family, and the two share special intro voicelines for each other, similar to the paired dynamic between Augusta and Iuno. Both characters bear their Tacet Marks in the same forehead position, a visual cue that hints at a deeper shared backstory running through the Version 3.5 narrative.

In the story, Suisui is described as a director of the Zhaoming Chamber of Commerce in Mengzhou, born into a family of musicians. She is portrayed as lively, confident, and socially skilled, with a habit of spending freely and a sharp grasp of market intelligence from across Huanglong. Her Resonance Source, shared with Yangyang, is the Chongming Bird, and the golden streaks in her hair are noted as an unusual trait in the region.

Note: There is some disagreement over whether Suisui is Yangyang’s older or younger sister, so treat the sibling order as unsettled until an official reveal clarifies it.

Suisui’s Wuthering Waves 3.5 release window

Suisui is slated for Phase 2 of Version 3.5, following Xuanling, who headlines Phase 1 as a Havoc Sword main DPS. The update is expected to land Version 3.5 on July 9, 2026, with maintenance compensation and pre-load typically opening about 48 hours before the patch goes live. The two-phase structure lines up a sister-pair release, with Xuanling first and Suisui directly after.

Version 3.5 also introduces the new Mengzhou region and the long-awaited Electro Rover, but Suisui and Xuanling are the two featured 5-star debuts of the patch.

Everything outside the confirmed banner placement is still early and subject to change while the patch is in testing, so expect kit numbers, her final team role, and even her element to be refined before launch. What is consistent across the current picture is the shape of the character. Suisui is a Glacio Rectifier support who heals, buffs, and amplifies enemy debuffs through a stacking domain, and she lands in the same patch that finally gives Yangyang her moment in the spotlight.
