Harvestfall Village sits in Qinghe’s Sundara Land region as one of the densest hubs of side content in Where Winds Meet. Within a small radius, you can wrap up multi-part Wandering Tales, several timed Encounters, a trio of Injustice cases, and the Old Friends objective that reaches beyond the village boundary.
This breakdown focuses on what you actually do: where to stand, which skills are required, and when in the in‑game day events will fire.
How to finish the Heaven Spear Wandering Tale in Harvestfall Village
The Heaven Spear Wandering Tale chain ends in Harvestfall Village.
After the initial dialogue, the NPC relocates to Harvestfall Village. Travel to Harvestfall Village’s boundary stone and look for them at the marked position inside the village.

Harvestfall Village Wandering Tales (all five parts)
Harvestfall Village has five local Wandering Tales. Completing them is useful on its own and is also a prerequisite for some Encounter content in the wider region.
Return the memorial tablet to the nearby quest giver (inside the house where the earlier discussion occurs). Speaking to them with the tablet in your inventory completes “Breaking Tradition.”

Wandering Tale 2 – Eternal Flame
This Tale requires the theft skill Celestial Seas.
Return to the Harvestfall Village chief (Yang Chi / Yang Qi, depending on your language setting) and hand over the confidential letter to finish “Eternal Flame.”

Walk up the road toward the child indicated by the quest marker and give them the shadow puppet. This resolves the Tale often titled “Child’s Toy” or “Child’s Play.”

During the day (for example, at Wu Hour), approach the stables inside Harvestfall Village. A group of children appears and starts the “Path of Heroes” Encounter.

After reviewing the clues with Yan Datier and stating your conclusion, clear out the marked enemy camp to rescue the child and end “Path of Heroes.”

Encounter 2 – Lucky Break
This Encounter requires daytime and a minimum world exploration reputation in the first region Qinghe (described in‑game as reaching a “rising fame” level).
During the day, go to the area in Harvestfall Village where two NPCs stand together (the marker sits slightly away from the main square). Speak with them to begin “Lucky Break.” If nothing triggers, increase your Qinghe world exploration level and return.

Find the Wang clan patriarch on the nearby path, speak with him, then accompany him back to the courtyard entrance for another short exchange with the guard.

Inside another house in Finesteed Hamlet, interact with a letter on the shelf on the left side. This interaction may be required for the Encounter flag.
Walk from the fast travel stone toward the village gate. Move around this area until a new Encounter objective appears, then approach the crowd outside the gate to officially start “Night Flashes Shadow.”

If it still does not trigger, clear your Encounter quest list down to at most one active quest by completing or giving up others, wait several minutes of real time in a distant area such as a bamboo grove, then fast travel back to Harvestfall Village at You Hour and try again. Many Encounter flags behave as if they need a cooldown after failed attempts.
Night Flashes Shadow – horse theft and prison segment
Once the Encounter has started at the village gate, the story focuses on a horse and a bandit plot.
Climb or move to the cliff on the left side overlooking the prison; the Greenwood Bandit is waiting at the top. Speak with him to start a duel, then defeat him.

Once you have all the clues, open the deduction interface (touchpad, then right on the D‑pad on the controller) and pair the clues until the deduction completes. Wrong combinations do not fail the quest; they simply let you try again.

Continue climbing to the very top of the mountain, where Qi and the horse are waiting. Dig at the spot between or at the feet of Qi and the horse when prompted.

After the final conversation sequence, talk to the nearby monk. This wraps up “Night Flashes Shadow.”

Harvestfall Village Injustice quests
The Harvestfall Village region also contains three short Injustice cases. Two involve catching pickpockets; the third uses your Meridian Touch skill for healing rather than combat.
Go to the other marked location in Harvestfall Village (away from the tavern) where an NPC is flagged for tailing, ideally during daytime around Wei Hour.
Move to the rear of Harvestfall Village, where the fields sit. On a raised platform near the fields, a group of NPCs stands with an “overjoyed” status effect.
Speak with them afterward to complete “Smile Through It All.”
Old Friends in Harvestfall Village and Angler’s location
Old Friends is a separate type of objective that asks you to track down specific NPCs associated with Harvestfall Village.
Two characters are relevant:
Wu Cezhi (“toilet paper guy”): A worker in or near the Buddha statues inside the village at night, when playing online. He needs toilet paper to resolve his part of Old Friends. Language switching to Chinese has been used as a workaround when dialogue fails to trigger, while still allowing English text for conversations.
Angler: The second Old Friend for this objective. From the Harvestfall Village teleport, move to the top-right on the map, following the path toward the water. Angler stands by the shoreline just outside the village proper.
Speaking to both Wu Cezhi (with his small requirement completed) and Angler registers the two Old Friends tied to Harvestfall Village.
Clearing this cluster of content around Harvestfall Village not only fills in the region’s exploration progress but also unlocks story threads that connect the village to Finesteed Hamlet, the prison complex, and Halo Peak. Treat the area as an early hub: once the Wandering Tales, Encounters, Injustice cases, and Old Friends are done here, the surrounding zones tend to open up more smoothly.
