Scoria’s Angel is one of two Railjack missions added with Update 43: Jade Shadows: Constellations, sitting on the Uranus Proxima node. You fight alongside Vena to break into Ryoku’s capital ship and take him down, earning Emerald Talent that you can spend at the secret vendor in Pontis Tower. The mission blends a Railjack space skirmish with an on-foot assassinate run, and it hides a free cosmetic that most players walk straight past.
Quick answer: Complete the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest, then open Navigation, switch to the Railjack toggle, pick Uranus Proxima, and select Scoria’s Angel. Clear the space combat, escort Vena through the ship to finish the Ice Hardening sequence, then defeat Ryoku by throwing three Power Cells at his terminal.
Requirements and how to start Scoria’s Angel
You must finish the Jade Shadows: Constellations quest before the node appears. That quest itself requires the original Jade Shadows quest to be done first, so clear that prerequisite if Constellations never shows up in your Codex. Completing Constellations unlocks Uranus Proxima, the two new Railjack missions, and the Pontis Tower hub.
You do not need your own Railjack. You can borrow Vena’s fully equipped ship and crew, which is the default option when joining the mission. Solo players can also bring their personal Railjack instead.
- Open Navigation and select the Railjack toggle in the top right corner, then choose Uranus Proxima and the Scoria’s Angel node (Normal or Steel Path).
- Or travel to the Pontis Tower node, walk to Vena, and use the console or portal behind her to board her Railjack and begin the mission.
Note: Scoria’s Angel has you aiding Vena against Ryoku. The Kuva Wytch is the mirror mission where you side with Ryoku against Vena and earn Crimson Talent instead.

Add to Google Preferences →Part 1: Win the Railjack space fight
The mission opens with a space combat phase. Move into the Asteroid Field and follow the marker until you reach an enemy ship. Use your turrets to destroy the guns ringing the ship’s perimeter, and clear any smaller fighters the objective calls out.

Next, intercept two ships and destroy the cargo mounted on their backs. You do not need to blow up the ships themselves, just the cargo. Once both cargo loads are gone, you move to the final space step.

The last action is to disable a cloaked ship. Charge the Forward Artillery (the Tunguska Cannon behind the pilot seat) and fire to break the cloak, then board the ship to begin the on-foot phase.
Part 2: Escort Vena and finish the Ice Hardening
Once aboard, escort Vena to the highlighted terminal so she can start her hack. Enemies will block the route, so your job is to clear the path and keep her moving until she reaches the terminal and begins the breach.

After the breach completes, disable the security from a nearby terminal and head to the next marker. Here you fight an enemy boss, and once it falls a wave of weaker minions spawns. These minions drop Canisters used for the Ice Hardening process.

Keep killing enemies and collecting Canisters until you hit the required count. The process runs on a timer, so steady kills are all you need. When Ice Hardening finishes, follow the marker to the Ramsleds and launch toward Ryoku’s ship.
Part 3: Defeat Ryoku
Inside Ryoku’s ship you push through his Shadow Clones to reach the final arena. Watch for traps and laser gates on the way in, since they deal heavy damage if you rush blindly.

In the arena, Ryoku spawns clones that go down quickly. Some of those clones drop Power Cells. Collect three Power Cells and throw them at the main terminal in the room to break his defenses.

With the terminal powered, finish Ryoku in the final fight to complete Scoria’s Angel. The game may briefly flash a mission failed message after the kill. That is a visual glitch, and your accrued rewards still register.
Kyzen Signa secret puzzle: shoot seven green banners
Scoria’s Angel hides a free cosmetic, the Kyzen Signa, which is Ryoku’s cybernetic holo-visor. It sits behind a sealed room that only opens after you shoot seven green holographic banners in the correct order during the on-foot phase. The sequence starts right after you crash into Ryoku’s ship from the Ramsled.
Note: A current bug can stop mission rewards from registering if you Abandon after extracting into your Railjack. To lock in the Signa, re-run Scoria’s Angel from Railjack mission control, then Abandon mid-mission on that second run.
Rewards and how to confirm completion
Clearing Scoria’s Angel rewards Emerald Talent, the currency you spend at Hunhow’s secret vendor in Pontis Tower. Expect roughly 13 to 16 Talents per run, so a few clears build up quickly. The node also pays 7,400 Credits. You know the run worked when the rewards screen tallies your Emerald Talent, even if a failed message briefly appears beforehand.
Emerald Talent feeds the pity system for the Sirius & Orion Warframe. You can buy the Chassis, Neuroptics, and Systems blueprints from Hunhow if they do not drop directly from the mission. The table below lists the Talent and crafting costs for each part.
| Blueprint | Talent | Crafting materials |
|---|---|---|
| Main | 275 | Chassis, Neuroptics, Systems |
| Chassis | 90 | 15,000 Credits, 600 Rubedo, 400 Alloy Plate, 600 Carbides, 500 Ticor Plate |
| Neuroptics | 90 | 15,000 Credits, 250 Circuits, 5 Gallium, 5 Nullstones, 75 Asterite |
| Systems | 90 | 15,000 Credits, 500 Polymer Bundle, 30 Morphics, 20 Control Module, 100 Isos |
Run the mission with a squad for the fastest clears, since Ryoku’s clones fall quickly with extra firepower, and bank enough Emerald Talent to grab the Signa, the blueprints, and any other vendor rewards you want before moving on to The Kuva Wytch for the Crimson side.
