Chapter 2, Jungle Life!, picks up the moment Muna hands you the Purification Filter and asks you to recover sculptures left behind by an ancient civilization at the bottom of Utara Lake. This stretch of Dave the Diver: In the Jungle is where the DLC opens up, layering in deeper dives, crafting, the Bancho Grill, and a string of fetch-and-build objectives that move the story toward the Sunang temple.
Quick answer: To finish Chapter 2, retrieve the Ancient Statue for Muna, upgrade the Purification Filter twice, photograph three stone tablets, repair Dave’s house with Cobra, build the Modest Grill through Peneb and Perak, then dive for the Broken Breathing Apparatus and a glowing stone. Handing both to Muna ends the chapter and starts Chapter 3.

Chapter 2 main missions and rewards
Jungle Life! runs through a connected set of main missions. Here is the order they unlock in and what each one gives you.
Dive into the lake and head straight down through the murky water. The lake’s layout reshuffles every time you dive, but the Ancient Statue sits in the Hazard Zone. It turned up at roughly 28.6m depth, marked by a glow and a yellow exclamation point.
Surface and return to the village, then bring the statue to Muna. You will find her near the tents on the left side of Dave’s house.

Upgrade the Purification Filter
The deeper objectives need a stronger Purification Filter, which protects you from the Hydrogen Sulphide in the water. Muna upgrades it in exchange for Dinosaur Bone Fragments, the whitish, glowing bone pieces scattered across the lake floor. Pick these up on your dives so you can hand them over the moment the task appears.
With the Improved Purification Filter equipped, dive again. The three stone tablets are spread across the lake bed at the new depth you can now reach. The first one tends to sit toward the left side of the floor; from there, sweep right to find the other two.
Approach the camera icon at each tablet and press the prompt (spacebar on PC). Hold the button to focus and release it when the markers line up, zooming in or out so the tablet stays inside the frame. The green marker in the top-left of the viewfinder confirms the subject is in shot.
Take all three photos back to Muna in the village. She then asks for the Broken Breathing Apparatus from deeper in the lake, so upgrade to the Advanced Purification Filter now to reach the 75m you will need.
Fix up Dave’s house
After your first night in Utara Village, you wake to Cobra wanting to repair Dave’s house. He sends you to find carpentry tools from the village’s carpenter.
Use the Axe on the tree next to the bench beside Peneb’s house to drop three Bangkirai Wood. The repair needs 5x Bangkirai Wood total, so chop a second tree to top up.
The house also needs 2x Lake Vines. These hang from the ceiling of the lake terrain, so grab them on your next dive. With 5x Bangkirai Wood and 2x Lake Vines in hand, return to Cobra by the tents and choose “About House Repairs,” then “Here you go.”
Build the Modest Grill
Once the house is repaired, the kitchen side of the chapter kicks in. You need a Skewer Grill, but making it means first getting a Pickaxe from the village blacksmith.
Talk to Bancho near the restaurant, then speak to Peneb about a Skewer Grill. He asks for three stones, which you can only mine with a Pickaxe you do not have yet.
Head to the kiln on the left of Bancho’s restaurant and talk to Perak. He makes the Pickaxe after you bring him three Bamboo Chunks. Bamboo grows on the village outskirts, behind the banana trees near Lipah’s Garden on the left side of the village.
With the Pickaxe, mine any of the stony outcrops around the village for three stones. Return to Peneb, craft the Modest Grill, and place it at the restaurant to clear the objective.
Recover the Broken Breathing Apparatus and glowing stone
With the Advanced Purification Filter fitted, dive deep. The Broken Breathing Apparatus sits around 72.2m on the lake bed, toward the middle, under a yellow exclamation point. Because the terrain shifts between dives, sweep the floor at that depth until it appears.
Nearby, a pile of dead branches covers a glowing stone. Interact with it to pick it up, then carry both items back to Muna in the village.

You will know Chapter 2 is finished when, the next morning, Muna tells you the diving suit of the Sunang Civilization is hidden in a nearby temple. That conversation rolls straight into Chapter 3, Diving Suit of the Sunang Civilization, where the Laser Emitter and Setah Forest come into play.
