The lake’s Hydrogen Sulfide grows more concentrated the deeper you swim, and the Purification Filter is what keeps Dave safe in those hazard zones. Each upgrade raises both the filter’s capacity and the depth you can reach, and Muna handles the work in exchange for Doni and a few materials.

Tip: The filter is a timed meter that sits next to your oxygen gauge while you are in the lake. If it empties before you surface, the filter breaks and the Hydrogen Sulfide starts hurting Dave again, so plan each deep run around how many bars you have left.

Earning Doni for the upgrade

Doni is Utara Village’s currency, and you mainly earn it by completing missions and by running a night shift at Bancho Grill. To pass the time during the day, walk around the village, dive into the lake, or sit on the bench near Bancho until evening arrives.

At the grill, customers sit down and request dishes that Bancho prepares, and you deliver each plate before the order timer fills with red. Some guests ask for Coconuts, a separate item handled with a quick prompt where you cut the coconut open and then confirm when the white circles line up with the green ones. Befriending more villagers brings more customers in, which raises both your earnings and the grill’s rating.
