The Minions have taken over Brookhaven and turned the town into a working movie studio. The Minions & Monsters event is a free collaboration with Illumination that runs in weekly phases, and Week 1 lets you cause chaos on a film set, collect Minion followers, and transform into a Minion yourself. Everything is available to all players with no pass or Robux required.
Quick answer: Go to the Minions & Monsters movie set across the street from Jett’s building near the airport. Press the + on the Minion’s Tube for your first free follower, then trigger all three Big Bad Machine disasters to claim three more. Equip the Minion Costume from the Costumes section to become a Minion.
Event dates and what Week 1 includes
The event went live on June 19, 2026, and runs as a two-week collaboration that ends on July 3, 2026. The film itself, Minions & Monsters, opens in US theaters on July 1. Week 1 is the Viking-themed movie set, where you act as the boss of your own Minion crew and set off studio disasters.

Week 2 adds more Minions, more disasters, additional props and vehicles, and a new house. It goes live on Friday, June 26, 2026, replacing the Week 1 layout with expanded content.
Where to find the Minions & Monsters movie set
The movie set sits across the street from the Jett’s building, near the Brookhaven airport. Look for a large gate carrying the Minions & Monsters logo. The whole area uses a yellow and blue color scheme and is hard to miss thanks to the Viking-style structures and Minion decorations.
Once inside, you can watch the official movie trailer, browse the new costumes and vehicles, set off disasters, and pick up Minion followers. Note that the mall area has been temporarily removed to make space for the event.
How to get Minion followers
You can collect up to four Minion followers during Week 1. One comes from the Minion’s Tube, and the other three come from completing the three disasters on the Big Bad Machine.

You earn one follower for starting at the tube and one for completing each of the three disasters, for a Week 1 maximum of four. To dismiss a Minion, head back to the tube and press the - sign. You can swap between following and stored states anytime using the + and - buttons.
Note: Only three disasters exist during Week 1, so four followers is the current cap. More are expected with the Week 2 update.
How to get the Minion avatar and costumes
You turn into a Minion by equipping the Minion Costume. From the movie set entrance, look to your right to find the Costumes section. The Minion Costume is the very first option, and clicking it instantly changes your avatar. It is free and stays available until July 3, 2026.
The same section also holds two more transformations, Dort and Goomi, both characters from the Minions & Monsters film. Select either one to wear it the same way you equip the Minion Costume.
All Week 1 props and vehicles
The movie set also stocks free props and vehicles you can use while the event is live. The props lean into the film studio and Viking theme, and the vehicles include a Minion-styled golf cart and a classic limousine.

Every prop and vehicle here is free to use while the event runs. Week 2 will add more of each, plus a new house, so it is worth checking the set again after the June 26 update.

Since the event closes on July 3, claiming your four Minion followers, the Minion Costume, Dort, and Goomi early leaves you free to enjoy the disasters and props for the rest of the run, and ready for whatever Week 2 brings.
