Version 6.7, titled Luna VIII, is the final Genshin Impact update in the 6.x cycle, and it closes out the Nod-Krai story before Snezhnaya and Version 7.0. It went live on July 1, 2026, with the marionette Sandrone joining as a new 5-star, a permanent Moon area to explore, a fresh elemental reaction, and a stack of summer events under the banner name Song of the Welkin Moon: Scherzo – Sunny Summer Fontinalia.

A separate Lightrace Wish Banner runs for a limited time, pooling five 5-star characters and their signature weapons into a single pull. It features Yae Miko, Cyno, Wriothesley, Qiqi, and Yumemizuki Mizuki, all of whom receive buffs in Version 6.7.
Sandrone, the new 5-star Cryo Claymore
Sandrone is a 5-star Cryo character who wields a Claymore. Her kit runs on a two-stage power loop. In Calculation Mode, she builds up her attack, and in Overclock Mode she unleashes it. That cycle feeds directly into the update’s new elemental reaction.
Her likely best-in-slot weapon, the 5-star Claymore A Teaspoon of Transcendence, debuts on the Phase 1 Epitome Invocation banner at the same time as her release.
Stella Superconduct reaction
Stella Superconduct is the new reaction added in Luna VIII. When Cryo meets Electro under specific conditions, it triggers and temporarily converts the surrounding space into the Stellar Glow Domain. Enemies inside that domain who are hit by Cryo or Electro attacks have their diffused elemental energy sealed by the field.
Every 3 seconds, all of that sealed power releases and turns into buffs for party members standing inside the domain. Those buffs grant Cryo and Electro DMG Bonus and raise the base reaction multiplier of Stella Superconduct DMG, lasting 3 seconds. Enemies caught in the domain also have their Physical RES reduced.
The Moon: a permanent new area
Luna VIII opens up the Moon as a new explorable region located outside Teyvat. Players briefly visited this place earlier when Columbina took the Traveler there, but this time the Moon map stays permanently available in-game. The area is saturated with Archaeolune Energy.
Points of interest across the surface include ancient dragon ruins, a black Kuuhenki named Eggie, the lunar base The Eye of Ibni-Belum, the Lunar Surface Monitoring Station, Ungien’s Circle, the Space Lifeform Capture Station, the Lunar Sea, and a hidden base on the far side of the Moon.
Luna VIII events and rewards
The main event, Sunny Summer Fontinalia, takes place in Fontaine and centers on managing and decorating an aquarium aboard Wriothesley’s ship, plus an event quest that introduces Sandrone. Earning points there unlocks Charlotte’s new skin and a free copy of Charlotte, along with 910 Primogems and upgrade materials.

Two outfits arrive with the update. Citlali gets Whispers of Stars and Smoke, available from the in-game shop with a limited-time discount. Charlotte gets Hurlock Variations, which you earn for free by playing through the Sunny Summer Fontinalia event.
