Roll to Defend is an incremental simulator on Roblox built by D:/Drive, where the whole loop runs on one idea. You roll for units, send those units to fight zombies, and use the payouts to unlock new zones. Stronger units come from higher luck, so most of your early decisions should be about stacking luck before you spend a single roll.
Quick answer: Raise your luck by playing with friends, liking the game, and joining its group. Then roll units repeatedly, throw them at zombies, and reinvest the income into new zones to keep pushing your army forward.
How to increase luck in Roll to Defend
Luck decides the quality of the units you pull. The better your luck, the higher the chance a roll lands a rare, powerful unit instead of a common one. There are three reliable ways to raise it, and they stack, so use all of them together before grinding rolls.
| Luck source | What to do |
|---|---|
| Play with friends | Join a server alongside other players to gain extra luck while active. |
| Like the game | Tap the like button on the experience page to add a luck boost. |
| Join the group | Join the game’s community group for additional luck. |
Because playing with friends grants more luck, grouping up is the strongest lever you control at any moment. Get the like, and group boosts locked in once, then bring a full party of six players, which is the maximum server size, when you want the best odds on a rolling session.

Rolling is the core action. Each roll produces a unit, and the pool of possible units is weighted by your current luck. Higher luck shifts you toward the rarer, stronger units that carry your army through tougher zones, so it pays to roll in bursts while every luck boost is active rather than one at a time.

Fighting zombies and unlocking zones
Your units fight zombies automatically once deployed, and clearing them feeds the economy that funds your growth. As you accumulate resources, you unlock and buy new zones, which open fresh areas to fight in and progress through. The pattern repeats. Roll, fight, buy the next zone, then roll again with stronger units.
Note: Income keeps accumulating even after you close the game. You continue to earn while offline, so you will return with resources ready to spend on more rolls or the next zone.

Early progression and badges
The opening minutes are guided by three freebie badges that map out exactly what to do first. Clearing them confirms you understand the loop before you commit to serious rolling.
| Badge | How to earn it |
|---|---|
| Welcome! | Join the experience for the first time. |
| Finished the Tutorial | Complete the in-game tutorial. |
| Roll 10 Times | Perform a total of 10 rolls. |
You know your setup is working when rolls start returning higher-rarity units and your zombie clears speed up, which in turn lets you afford the next zone faster. That accelerating income is the clearest signal your luck boosts are active.
Upcoming content: UPDATE #2
An event listed as UPDATE #2 is scheduled for July 4 at 4:00 PM. The contents have not been detailed yet, so the specific units, zones, or luck changes it may add are not confirmed. The experience itself was last updated on July 2, 2026, and currently sits above 584,400 visits with a mild maturity rating for repeated, mild violence.
Until then, the fastest route to a stronger army stays the same. Stack every luck boost, roll in a full friend group, and keep reinvesting your zombie income into new zones so each rolling session pulls from a better pool than the last.
