How to Unlock Painter Kitten and Biome Kitten in Find the Kittens (Roblox)

Painter Kitten and Biome Kitten are two of the harder unlocks in Find the Kittens, the Roblox scavenger hunt where cats are tucked away across a set of connected islands. Painter Kitten is the headline addition in the current build of the game, while Biome Kitten is a puzzle-style unlock that depends on activating hidden buttons rather than simply spotting a cat. Both reward a badge on your profile once you complete them.

Quick answer: Biome Kitten appears only after you press every hidden button scattered through the game’s biomes. Painter Kitten is the featured kitten in the latest update and is collected once you reach and touch it. You know each one worked when its badge pops on screen and shows up in your Roblox badge list.

You can open the experience directly on its Find the Kittens game page. The current version carries the Painter Kitten name in its title and was last updated within the past week.

Biome Kitten: the hidden button mechanic

Biome Kitten does not sit out in the open like the easier cats. It is gated behind a chain of buttons hidden throughout the game’s different biomes. You have to find and press each one, and only after all of them are active does the kitten become reachable.

The number of buttons has changed across updates. Earlier versions used a smaller set of three buttons, and a later CATastrophic-difficulty revision expanded the puzzle to five buttons spread across the map. Because this count depends on the version you load into, treat the button hunt as a full sweep of every biome rather than a fixed list of spots.

Explore each biome one at a time and look for a physical button or switch built into the terrain. Buttons tend to be tucked behind scenery, under structures, or in corners you would normally walk past.

Walk into or click each button to activate it. Keep track of how many you have pressed so you can tell when a biome still has one left.
Continue until every button in the game is triggered. Once the final one is active, Biome Kitten unlocks, and its badge is awarded.

Note: If Biome Kitten still has not appeared after you think you have pressed them all, one button is almost certainly missed. Revisit any biome you rushed through, since a single unpressed button blocks the whole unlock.

Painter Kitten is the kitten tied to the game’s most recent update, which is why its name sits in the experience title. Like the other cats in the hunt, it is collected by finding it and touching it in the world. Once you make contact, the badge is granted.

Search the islands for the cat. Newer kittens are usually placed to require more movement or platforming than the starter cats, so check higher ledges and out-of-the-way corners.
Touch Painter Kitten to collect it. The badge notification confirms the pickup.

How to confirm each kitten unlocked

Every kitten in Find the Kittens is tracked as a Roblox badge. When you succeed, a badge alert appears in the top of the screen with the kitten’s name. You can verify it later on your Roblox profile under earned badges for the game.

Common reasons the unlock does not trigger

Biome Kitten most often fails because a button is still unpressed in a biome you already visited. The kitten only spawns when the count is complete, so a partial run leaves nothing to collect. Painter Kitten fails to appear when you are in an older server or version that predates the update, so rejoin the current build if you cannot find it. As long as you are on the up-to-date game and have covered every biome, both badges are attainable in a single session.
