Neverness to Everness: Finding Brand Anniversary and Beating Film-MANISH

The route to the hidden Unheard Shores arena, the boss’s weakness, and every reward you earn.

Brand Anniversary is a common Anomaly Commission in Neverness to Everness that sends you underground to fight Film-MANISH, a movie-themed boss you already met once in the Prologue. The fight itself is straightforward. The real obstacle is the arena entrance, which sits behind a maintenance door buried inside a road tunnel in Unheard Shores.

Quick answer: Fast travel to the Wertheimer Tower in Unheard Shores, drop down to the road below the parking lot, drive into the tunnel west of the Orichalcos Imaginist, and enter the side door marked by an Oracle Stone icon. Follow the corridor down the stairs to trigger the Film-MANISH fight.

Brand Anniversary location in Unheard Shores

The commission marker points to an area near the Wertheimer Tower, but the actual entrance is not on the surface. It is a maintenance station door built into the wall of the road tunnel that runs beneath the Orichalcos Imaginist. This is the road directly under the venue, not the Coastal Highway Z42. Turn on tracking for Brand Anniversary from the Anomaly Commission list in the bottom-right of the map so the route stays visible.

Fast travel to the Wertheimer Tower in Unheard Shores, facing the Orichalcos Imaginist building. This is your starting point.

Head down the stairs on the left and run southeast in a straight line until you reach a parking lot with a yellow “P” sign.
Jump over the railing at the edge of the parking lot and glide down to the road below. Use your Glider on the way down so you avoid fall damage.
Summon your vehicle with the Key Fob and drive into the tunnel ahead, keeping to the road that passes under the Imaginist.
At the midpoint of the tunnel, look for a maintenance station door in the wall. An Oracle Stone icon appears on the minimap and on the rail at the entrance, which makes the door easy to pinpoint. Stop, enter through the metal door, and follow the narrow path down the stairs.
Keep moving through the dark, curtained hallway. The boss fight against Film-MANISH begins automatically as soon as you approach the anomaly at the back of the room.

How to beat Film-MANISH

Film-MANISH is weak to Cosmos. Bringing Cosmos units such as Esper Zero or Chiz lets you punish that weakness quickly. Pairing a Cosmos unit with an Anima unit triggers the Blossom Esper Cycle, and adding a Lakshana unit like Hathor opens the Remora and Charge cycles, which slow the boss and refund Ultimate Energy to your team.

The boss is slow and fights mostly at close range by swinging its film-reel arms, with occasional ranged throws. Its spinning special attack cannot be avoided with a single dodge and drains health fast, so parry its wind-up moves rather than dodging them. A successful parry disrupts the attack and opens a counter window.

Two attacks need specific handling. The frontal laser both damages and slows you, leaving you exposed, so dodge the moment its predictive lines appear. The thrown objects, like vending machines, are just inanimate props. You can attack and destroy them mid-air to cancel the damage instead of moving out of the way.

Phase 1 attacks

AttackHow to handle it
Jumps, hovers, then slams its face downParry the slam
Surrounds itself with film screens that launch homing objects at onceMove in close to its body to avoid them
Slams four film-reel arms to raise damaging columns (red glint first)Reposition when you see the glint
Floats, winds up, then spins rapidlyParry during the wind-up
Throws inanimate objects (red glint first)Dodge or destroy the projectile
Creates two screens and swings twice, each swing firing objectsDodge each swing

Phase 2 attacks (below half health)

At 50 percent health, Film-MANISH keeps every Phase 1 move and gains two more. It curls into a ball, then expands to lay a line of film reels that heavily slow you if you step on them, followed by pillars of black goo that deal damage. It also slams three arms into the ground in a fast strike that is difficult to dodge because of its speed. Keep your footing off the reels and stay ready to react to the arm slam.

High-Risk variant

Once you clear the common commission and reach at least Hunter Level 24, the High-Risk version of Brand Anniversary unlocks in the High-Risk Commissions menu. It uses the same Cosmos weakness and runs across six difficulty tiers, each raising the boss’s level, HP, and damage.

Difficulty tierBoss level
143
253
363
473
583
688

Tiers 5 and 6 add extra mechanics. Overload starts three minutes into the fight and ramps both enemy and team attack while draining team HP over time. Hunter’s Gaze stacks enemy attack after each successful hit. Two mechanics reward clean play. Flash Moment boosts your active character’s attack for 10 seconds after a Critical Dodge, and Perfect Rhythm restores 20 percent team HP and removes a Hunt stack whenever a Parry Attack lands.

Brand Anniversary rewards

Clearing the common commission grants the Snap! Don’t Blink! achievement along with the following.

RewardAmount
Hunter Level EXP200
Annulith30
Fons10,000
Silver Carrota40
U-00NE20
Beetle Coin5,000
Anomaly Material Selection Box I4
Unheard Shores Footprint Points32

The High-Risk version pays out for the first clear of each of the six tiers, so you can collect its rewards up to six times. Each first-time clear grants 30 Annulith, 3,600 Fons, and 30 Peril Hunt Medals. This boss has no Arc rewards for the codex, so repeat runs are mainly about Annulith farming through High-Risk difficulty.

Confirming the commission is complete

You know the run worked when Film-MANISH falls, and the reward screen appears with the Snap! Don’t Blink! achievement and the item drops listed above. Completing it also flags the High-Risk tab, so if you are at Hunter Level 24 or higher, you will see Brand Anniversary become selectable there. If you cannot find the fight at all, the usual cause is entering the wrong tunnel or missing the mid-tunnel side door. Watch the minimap for the Oracle Stone icon and take the road that passes directly under the Orichalcos Imaginist rather than the highway.
