How to Add Colors to Sections in Microsoft OneNote

Changing Section Colors in OneNote for Windows

Open your notebook and locate the section tab you want to color. Section tabs are usually displayed along the top of the OneNote window.

Click on your preferred color from the palette. The section tab will immediately update to display the new color, making it stand out from others and simplifying navigation.

Note: The ability to change the color or paper style of individual pages is available only on iPad, not on iPhone. To change a page’s background color on iPad, select the page, go to the View tab, and tap Page Color.
