Pooh Sticks is a four-player river race tucked inside the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack for Disney Dreamlight Valley. You and three villagers each drop an object off a bridge, and whoever’s object floats to the finish line first takes the win. It’s a relaxed activity, but the whirlpools in the water make each round less predictable than it looks.
Quick answer: Go to the Honeyglow Bridge in the Gloommeadow, interact with the bridge sign, gather three villagers, and choose an item to drop. Your object wins if it reaches the finish line on the river before the others.
What you need before playing Pooh Sticks
Pooh Sticks is exclusive to the Honeyglow Woods Adventure Pack, so you must own that add-on to access it. The mini-game is inspired by the game Winnie the Pooh and his friends play in the classic stories, which is why it lives in this region of the Valley.

You also need access to the Gloommeadow, one of the four sub-areas of the Honeyglow Woods. It’s the murky marsh full of ponds, puddles, and rivers, so the bridge you’re after sits naturally within it. Bring along at least one of any eligible item, since you can’t start a round empty-handed.

Every item you can drop in Pooh Sticks
You can’t toss just anything into the river. There’s a fixed pool of 15 items, split across wood, fruit, and vegetables. As long as you hold at least one of a listed resource, it’s available to select.
| Category | Eligible items |
|---|---|
| Wood | Softwood, Dry Wood, Hardwood, Dark Wood, Driftwood |
| Fruit | Apple, Sweet Chestnut, Lemon |
| Vegetables | Potato, Carrot, Bell Pepper, Pumpkin, Golden Pattypan, Tomato, Onion |
How to win Pooh Sticks
You win by having your object cross the finish line first. During a match, a silhouette of each character’s chosen item floats above their head, so you can read what you’re up against before the race gets going. If Jafar shows an apple, Mirabel shows a pumpkin, and Gaston shows a potato, you know exactly which objects are competing.
Each item type behaves differently in the water. Wood generally travels faster than fruit and vegetables, but it slows down sharply in whirlpools. Large produce like pumpkins is heavier and pushes through whirlpools far more easily. Dark Wood and Driftwood tend to have consistent winning odds, and Pumpkin and Golden Pattypan perform well thanks to their size.
There’s always some luck involved. Whirlpools spawn in unpredictable spots, and you don’t know which column your item lands in. A dense grid of three or four whirlpools can ruin an otherwise strong pick, and a pumpkin you played to survive whirlpools can still lose to a fast piece of wood if none appear.
Tip: Read the silhouettes first, then counter. If rivals are running lightweight wood, a large vegetable gives you an edge when whirlpools show up. If the water looks clear, lean toward Dark Wood or Driftwood for raw speed.
What playing Pooh Sticks unlocks
Every round raises your Friendship Level with each villager who takes part, working much like Scramblecoin does on Eternity Isle. It’s one of the fastest ways to build bonds with the neighbors you invite along.
Progressing through matches also opens up a collection of exclusive rewards tied to the mini-game. That makes returning to the Gloommeadow bridge worthwhile even after you’ve raised friendships, since there are prizes to keep chasing as you keep winning.
