Palworld 1.0: How to Unlock the Sunreach Sky Islands

Beat the Feybreak Tower boss, then take the portal at the summit to load into the new floating region.

Sunreach is the cluster of floating islands added with Palworld’s Version 1.0 update, and you cannot get there by simply flying east on a mount. The region stays hidden from your map until you finish one specific fight and step through a portal. That gate is the Feybreak Tower.

Quick answer: Defeat Bjorn and Bastigor at the Feybreak Tower (-1294, -1669), then interact with the portal that appears at the top of the tower and confirm the teleport to load into Sunreach.

What you need before you start

The Feybreak Tower sits on the southern edge of Feybreak Island, in the southwestern part of the world map at coordinates -1294, -1669. That area runs extremely cold, so bring gear that resists low temperatures. Cold-resistant armor and accessories keep you from taking environmental damage while you push toward the boss.

The tower is a boss gate, which means the fight against Bjorn and Bastigor is mandatory. It can punish you hard if your player level is too low, so level up and pack strong combat Pals before you commit.

Reaching Sunreach through the Feybreak Tower

Travel to the Feybreak Tower on the southern border of Feybreak Island. Head to the -1294, -1669 coordinates and prepare for the cold along the way.
Enter the tower and start the boss encounter against Bjorn and Bastigor. Defeat both to clear the gate. There is no known way to reach the summit without winning this fight.
After the boss falls, teleport to the top of the tower. A portal waits there, and interacting with it asks whether you want to travel to another location.

The portal at the top of the Feybreak Tower carries you to Sunreach.
Approve the teleport and wait a few seconds for the new area to load. You will drop into Sunreach at a fixed spawn point.

How to confirm you made it

You know the trip worked when the screen finishes loading and you are standing on the floating islands rather than the Feybreak snowfields. Open your map at that point and Sunreach now appears with its own location marker, which it never did before you unlocked it. An NPC is waiting at the spawn to hand you your first quest in the region.

Talk to that NPC to pick up the opening objective, which ties into the new World Tree content also added in Version 1.0. Sunreach carries its own roster of Pals to catch, so raise your level before you wander far from the landing spot.

Getting around Sunreach once you arrive

Sunreach is not a single landmass. It breaks into several floating islands spread across the sky, and moving between them takes some planning if you want to explore fully.

FeatureWhat it does
Floating purple orbsTouching one teleports you to a random location on the islands.
Island altarsEach island has an altar you can use to teleport between islands without a flying mount.
Auri & Shaolong towerThe Level 68 tower boss sits at the center of Sunreach.

A whirlwind surrounds the central tower and blocks access. To reach Auri and Shaolong, you first have to disable the six Defense Modules scattered across the islands, which shuts down that whirlwind. Only then can you enter and take on the boss.

Note: If you would rather skip the altar hopping, a flying mount lets you cross between the islands directly. The altars exist mainly for players without one.

With the Feybreak Tower cleared and the portal behind you, Sunreach is fully open. From here it is about clearing the six modules, beating Auri and Shaolong, and following the NPC’s quest thread toward the World Tree.
