Universal Tower Defense Z: How to Get the Hero Relic Set

Farm the Crime Fighting Extraction stage, clear its World Events, and reach the Final Extraction to keep every Hero piece.

Farm the Crime Fighting Extraction stage, clear its World Events, and reach the Final Extraction to keep every Hero piece.

The Hero Relic Set arrived with Update 4.0 in Universal Tower Defense Z, and it drops from a single place. You earn its three pieces inside the Crime Fighting Extraction stage, a long open-map run where completing World Events gives you a chance at the gear. Because every piece leans into debuffs, the set fits support units and DPS towers that already apply status effects.

Quick answer: Enter the Crime Fighting Extraction stage, complete the World Events that list Hero Set drops, and reach the Final Extraction in time. Pieces only land in your inventory after a successful Extraction.

Where the Hero Relic Set drops

The set comes exclusively from the Crime Fighting Extraction stage, which is part of the Extractions game mode. Expect a difficult run. Solo clears usually take between 25 and 35 minutes depending on your team composition, so a stronger squad shortens the trip considerably.

Instead of one guaranteed reward at the end, this stage scatters World Events across the map. Each World Event you approach shows its own details, including whether it can drop Hero Set pieces. Multiple events spawn during a run, so you get several chances at the gear before finishing.

How to farm the pieces step by step

Load into the Crime Fighting Extraction stage from the Extractions mode. Bring a team that can survive a long run, since the stage is built for extended play rather than a quick clear.
Walk up to each World Event as it appears and read its details. Only take on the ones that list the Hero Set as a reward, and complete them to roll for a piece.
Keep clearing events as new ones spawn. Because the map keeps producing World Events, you do not need to land every piece on your first attempt.
Head to an Extraction point and finish the run. Watch for the Extraction notification, which tells you when you can safely exit and collect what you gathered.

Hero Set drop rates by piece

World Events that feature the set roll each piece separately. The Top and Bottom are far easier to secure than the Accessory.

How to confirm you kept the rewards

Pieces you win from World Events are not yours until the run ends properly. They only appear in your inventory after a successful Extraction, signaled by the on-screen Extraction notification. Once that prompt shows, you can exit and claim everything you collected.

Note: The stage offers several Extraction opportunities, with a Final Extraction acting as the endpoint. If you fail to reach the Final Extraction in time, the run ends in failure and you lose every reward picked up along the way. Treat the timer as the real objective, not just the events.

Hero Relic Set bonuses

The whole set rewards units that apply debuffs. Each piece carries its own effect, and equipping all three unlocks the Hero set bonus on top.

SlotEffect
AccessoryApplying a debuff grants the unit +12% damage for 10 seconds and extends debuff duration by 10 seconds.
Top and Bottom+40% damage after applying a debuff. Both pieces must be equipped for this to work.
Set Bonus (Hero)+25% damage, +15% elemental damage, +5% critical chance, and -5% SPA.

Because the strongest effects trigger the moment a unit lands a debuff, the set pays off most on towers that reliably apply status effects. Support pieces feed both the damage window and the extended debuff timer, making the Hero Set a strong pick for debuff-focused DPS builds. Everything here is free to earn, since Universal Tower Defense Z lets you complete its content without paying for anything.
