Palworld: 5 New 1.0 Pals You Can Catch Early on Palpagos Islands

Locations, level ranges, and partner skills for the fresh 1.0 Pals within reach of a new save.

Locations, level ranges, and partner skills for the fresh 1.0 Pals within reach of a new save.

The Version 1.0 update adds 73 new Pals to Palworld, and most of them sit behind the Sunreach floating islands or the World Tree, which only opens after you clear every main tower boss. A handful, though, wander through the starting stretch of the Palpagos Islands. You can catch them in your first hours without any story progress, and several are strong enough to reshape your base and combat team right away.

Quick answer: Pupperai, Clovee, Amione, Tanzee Ignis, and Wispaw all spawn near the early-game map. Head north of the Hill of Beginnings for Pupperai, check around the Rayne Syndicate Tower and Desolate Church for Clovee and Tanzee Ignis, fish the waters near the Bridge of the Twin Knights for Amione, and sweep Marsh Island at night for Wispaw.

Where each new Pal spawns and its level range

Every Pal below appears in the wild close to areas you visit during the opening quests. The listed levels tell you how easily you can capture them with early Pal Spheres.

Base boosters: Clovee, Amione, and Wispaw

The early game slows to a crawl when your workers have low Work Suitability. These three Pals fix that problem in different ways, so slotting them into your first base speeds up gathering, watering, and crafting.

Clovee raises Gathering for the whole base

Clovee’s partner skill, Happy Clover, increases the Gathering Work Suitability of every other base Pal by one level while Clovee is stationed there. That single point makes berry collection noticeably faster when your roster is still weak. It also has Level 1 Planting and Level 1 Gathering of its own, so it doubles as a food-farm worker. Look for it around the Rayne Syndicate Tower and north of the Small Settlement, both of which you pass during the tutorial.

Amione raises Watering for the whole base

Amione works the same way as Clovee, except it boosts Watering Work Suitability for all base Pals by one level. Watering feeds plantations and the Crusher, so an extra point keeps those stations moving without a dedicated high-tier waterer. Amione spawns in the water southwest of the Bridge of the Twin Knights, reachable by heading west from the Desolate Church, at level 9–10.

Wispaw speeds up crafting and improves captures

Wispaw brings Level 2 Handiwork, which is unusually high for a Pal you can grab this early and helps clear the crafting queue faster. Its partner skill, Death-Cheating Feline, raises your capture rate when you land a back bonus, so it earns a spot in your party too. It appears across several early zones, including west of the Small Settlement, near the Desolate Church, and throughout Marsh Island, and it is caught at night.

Note: Wispaw is a night spawn, so plan the trip with enough Pal Spheres and a safe route back before it turns dark.

Combat picks: Pupperai and Tanzee Ignis

Two of the new arrivals push your damage output rather than your base. Both are easy to reach and pay off quickly against early bosses and camps.

Pupperai boosts melee weapon damage

Pupperai is a Ground-type you can catch almost immediately. Its partner skill, Best Boy, increases your melee weapon damage by 10% at level 1 and 35% at level 5 while it stays in your party. It also covers Level 1 Lumbering, Gathering, and Transporting, so it contributes at the base too. You will find it roaming just north of the Hill of Beginnings near the Level 38 Mammorest, where local Pupperai sit at level 2–4 and go down without a fight.

Tanzee Ignis becomes a fiery assault rifle

Tanzee Ignis is the Fire variant of the assault-rifle Pal, and it fills the early-game gap for reliable ranged pressure. Once you reach Technology Level 13, you can unlock the Tanzee Ignis Assault Rifle and equip the Pal as a weapon. It spawns around the Desolate Church and the Level 15 Alpha Penking, both just past the Rayne Syndicate Tower, at level 10–12.

You do not need to finish the story or reach the new endgame zones to feel the 1.0 roster. Grab Clovee and Amione first to unstick your production, keep Wispaw stationed for handiwork and packed for capture runs, and pair Pupperai with Tanzee Ignis for a party that hits hard well before you clear the first towers.
