The Mythic football companion drops from Sprite Chests in Chapter 7 Season 3, and you need to extract it to keep it.

The Vini Jr. Sprite arrived with Fortnite update 41.20, giving the Brazilian winger a Mythic companion to match his Icon Series skin. It turns your slide into a weapon and boosts your gun handling after you knock enemies over, which puts it among the most aggressive Sprites in the current pool.

Quick answer: Open Sprite Chests (and Rare Chests) on the Chapter 7 Season 3 map until the Vini Jr. Sprite drops, equip it, then carry it to an Extraction Site or use a Portable Extractor to lock it into your permanent collection.

Where the Vini Jr. Sprite drops

There is no fixed spawn point. The Vini Jr. Sprite is a loot drop, so it can appear anywhere Sprites come from on the Chapter 7 Season 3 island. Because it carries Mythic rarity, your odds from a normal chest are slim. Sprite Chests give you the best shot, since they roll from the higher-rarity Sprite pool.

Rare ChestPossible, lower odds
Regular chestVery low

To improve your chances every match, hit as many Sprite Chests as you can before the storm forces you to move. If someone else already grabbed it, taking them out and looting their body works just as well. One reliable spot is the lighthouse at Calamari Canyon, which stacks several chests plus a Sprite Chest on the platform below the balcony.

Extract it or you lose it

Finding the Sprite is only half the job. Until you extract it, it does not belong to you.

Pick up the Vini Jr. Sprite from the chest and equip it so it is active in your loadout.
Head to an Extraction Site on the map, or use a Portable Extractor if you are carrying one. Both add the Sprite to your permanent collection.
Once it is extracted, you will see it saved to your collection. From then on you can equip it before any match and summon it back if you drop it mid-game.

You know it worked when the Sprite shows an “Added to Collection” confirmation. Skip the extraction and get eliminated first, and the Sprite is gone with everything else you were holding.

What the Vini Jr. Sprite does

Sprint for a short stretch and your slide becomes destructive, damaging enemies you slam into. Slidekick an enemy and your rate of fire and reload speed both jump. Without the Sprite equipped, sliding into someone only shoves them a short distance and deals no damage, so the offensive part is tied entirely to having Vini Jr. active.

Like every Sprite, its numbers climb as you level it up. Here is how the slide damage and fire rate boost scale:

LevelSlide damageFire rate boost
14010%
24520%
35030%
45540%
56050%

The Sprite summons for a cost of 0, so there is no resource barrier to using it once you own it. At higher levels the combination of a hard-hitting slide and a faster-firing weapon makes it strong for aggressive, close-range play. It rewards players who like to close distance and slidekick rather than hold back.

If the Sprite is not turning up in your matches, keep prioritizing Sprite Chests over regular loot and stick to a route that passes several of them per drop. That is the fastest way to land a Mythic like Vini Jr. before the circle closes in.
