Final Long-Range Sightlines: How to Clear Every Stage in Genshin Impact 6.7

Every stage unlock date, scoring rule, and reward tier for the Luna VIII shooting drill running through July 27.

Every stage unlock date, scoring rule, and reward tier for the Luna VIII shooting drill running through July 27.

Final Long-Range Sightlines is a shooting drill simulation added in Genshin Impact Version 6.7 Luna VIII. You fire an observation grenade across a field, guide it into a target, then keep firing from each downed target until every enemy is cleared. Score climbs with distance, so the longest clean shot wins.

Quick answer: Start the quest “Sightlines and Camera Tricks” in Lumidouce Harbor, then fire your grenade at the farthest target first, avoid every obstacle, and chain shots from target to target until you pass each score threshold.

Event window and stage unlock schedule

The event runs from July 17 to July 27, 2026. All six stages do not open at once. Two stages unlock every other day, so plan return visits if you want to clear everything for the full reward set.

Stage 1 and Stage 2July 17, 2026
Stage 3 and Stage 4July 19, 2026
Stage 5 and Stage 6July 21, 2026

Unlock the event through the intro quest

Begin the quest “Sightlines and Camera Tricks” in Fontaine’s Lumidouce Harbor. You can jump into it straight from the event page or find it in your World Quests tab.
Play through the short introduction, where Chevreuse and Chasca walk you through how the drill works. Once it ends, the stage list opens and you can start firing.

How the shooting drill works

Each stage sits on its own map, so the terrain changes every time. Your goal never does. You aim and launch a single observation grenade at one target after another until the field is clear.

When a grenade hits a target, your next shot launches from that target’s position. You can only fire in a straight line, so the next enemy must sit in your line of sight before you pull the trigger. Marking opponents helps you track who is left, but marking does not change your score.

Obstacles are the main threat. If your grenade strikes any surface that is not a target, the run ends instantly. You then choose to undo the last shot or restart from the beginning, so a single mistake does not force a full reset.

Score scales with the distance a grenade travels before landing on a target. Long shots are worth far more than short ones, so favor the farthest visible enemy whenever the angle is clean.

Bonus scoring and field mechanics

A few extra systems shape how you plan a route. Use them to push past the higher score tiers.

MechanicWhat it does
Ideal Trajectory RingsOne-time rings placed on the field. Pass the grenade through them for a large point bonus.
Multiple firing positionsFollow the arrow indicators to move between firing spots, get a full view of the area, and set up a better line.
Target shieldsSome targets deploy shields that block the grenade. Aim around the shield so the shot connects.

Stage 1: Assault the Unsteady Stronghold

Score targets here are 600, 1,200, and 1,800 points. Almost every enemy except the one on your left sits on an open sightline, so a star-shaped route works well. The officer opponent stands the farthest away, which makes him an easy, high-value first shot.

You have room to improvise. Any pattern clears the stage as long as you take the longest possible shot on each target to bank the most points.

Stage 2: New Clash at the Old Theater

Score targets step up to 1,600, 2,600, and 3,600 points, and the angles demand more care. Open with the officer on the far right of the arena, since the window to hit him narrows once the grenade is already low to the ground.

After the first target, land shots on the officers near the open pillars, then swing back to the officer inside the ruins. Grunts make handy checkpoints when an officer is a tough shot. Because the officers move, you can also wait for one to walk into your crosshair for a cleaner line.

Rewards for clearing each stage

Full completion pays out Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit, and Fontaine weapon ascension materials. Each stage hands out rewards at three separate score thresholds, so hitting the top tier matters if you want the complete haul.

StageScoreReward
1600Primogem x70, Hero’s Wit x3
11,200Chapter of an Ancient Chord x3, Mora x20,000
11,800Sanctifying Unction x3, Mora x20,000
21,600Primogem x70, Hero’s Wit x3
22,600Sublimation of Pure Sacred Dewdrop x3, Mora x20,000
23,600Sanctifying Unction x3, Mora x20,000

How to know a run counts

A stage clears once you eliminate every target with a single grenade chain and your total crosses a score threshold. Rewards register at each tier you pass, so aim for the highest score target to collect all three.

The most common reason a run fails is the grenade touching an obstacle or any surface that is not a target, which ends the attempt immediately. If that happens, use the undo option to rewind your last shot instead of restarting the whole stage.

Stages 3 through 6 arrive on the later unlock dates, so check back on July 19 and July 21 to finish the remaining challenges before the event closes on July 27.
