Cid Kagenou V2 is the Shadow-themed spec added in the Red Dungeon update for Rock Fruit, and it sits among the strongest weapons in the game. It is also one of the hardest to unlock. The upgrade is gated behind rare drops and a low-odds craft, so the path matters more than raw luck.
Quick answer: Own Cid V1 first, then go to Event Island and hand over one Blade Shadow and one Blood of Shadow to complete the upgrade to Cid V2.
What you need before upgrading to Cid V2
You cannot skip straight to V2. Cid V1 is a hard requirement, and the upgrade itself is handled at Event Island, the area marked by the large rainbow and the rainbow-colored buildings and trees. Bring both upgrade items with you before talking to the NPC there.

The mob drop rate is only 0.3%, which means long farming sessions before one appears. There is no guaranteed method, so expect to grind unless a chest rolls in your favor early.
How to craft Blood of Shadow
Blood of Shadow is the harder half of the upgrade. It is a craft with a 5% success rate, so on average you will fail roughly 19 times before a single craft succeeds. Each attempt consumes the same set of materials, which is what makes this step so demanding.

Planning the grind
Because the craft can fail so often, it helps to stockpile materials before you start rolling. To reach a near-guaranteed success rate through repeated attempts, plan for about 10 Orb Atomic, 10 Glass Tubes, and 10 Orb Blood.
Buying those 10 Orb Blood costs 300 dungeon points, which works out to roughly 25 or more hours of straight Red Dungeon runs to accumulate. If an early craft succeeds, you save a huge amount of time. If it does not, this is where most of the effort goes.
Completing the upgrade
Cid V2 moveset and payoff
The reward for finishing the grind is a spec that dominates both bosses and PvP. Its basic attacks are fast and smooth, and its kit combines a spammable strike, a full time stop, and a one-shot finisher. In the Red Dungeon it can one-shot the Aegis boss and even the Gojo boss.
