The rhythm gacha packs 150-plus songs, 50-plus members, and an island full of minigames at launch.

hololive Dreams is the first official mobile game from Cover Corp, built by QualiArts, the studio behind Gakuen Idolm@ster. It combines a six-lane rhythm game with gacha character collection and a set of exploration minigames, and it goes live on July 23, 2026. If you have followed hololive music but never touched a rhythm gacha, this is the fastest way to get oriented before you install it.

Quick answer: hololive Dreams launches July 23, 2026 on iOS, Android, and PC via Steam as a free-to-play rhythm gacha, with over 150 songs and over 50 hololive members playable at launch. Pre-register now to be ready the moment servers open.

Release date, platforms, and how it plays

The game releases on July 23, 2026 in Japan and a selected number of regions at the same time. It runs on iOS and Android, and on PC through Steam. There is no separate charge to start, since it uses a gacha model for characters and cosmetics. That model was confirmed as part of the official reveal, so expect the usual pattern of pulling for members and outfits rather than buying them outright.

The core loop is a falling-notes rhythm game across six lanes, similar in feel to titles like BanG Dream! and Project Sekai. You tap, hold, and flick notes in time with the music to land the “PERFECT” timing window. Your score is not decided by accuracy alone. The team you bring into a song matters just as much, which is where the gacha and deck-building side comes in.

Note types and scoring in the rhythm game

Three note types make up every chart. Normal notes are a simple tap. Long notes are held down and released when the tail reaches the line. Flick notes are swiped in the direction the arrow points. Hitting each note inside the timing window earns the PERFECT rating, and stringing those together drives your combo and final score.

Scoring blends how well you play with the deck you built. Member skills can boost score, protect your combo, or recover health during a song, and the Leader’s chosen skills shape how the whole team performs. Because of that, two players hitting the same notes can end up with very different scores depending on their setup.

If precise tapping is not your strength, Auto-Play clears songs for you. It is useful for learning charts, testing decks, or simply listening to the music and the member conversations that play alongside your Leader. You can also build your own charts from existing songs and share them, and play solo or in lobbies of up to five people.

Team building and characters

A team is a Leader plus five members. Each talent can have different skins, and those skins can carry different skills, so the same character can fill different roles depending on which version you run. Members level up and slot into a skill tree, which is how you tune a deck toward score, survival, or combo protection.

Over 50 hololive members are collectable at launch. A few branches sit out for now. hololive English -Justice-, hololive DEV_IS FLOW GLOW, and the HOLOSTARS branch are not featured at release, though that lineup could change later. Graduated talents who left during production appear in select story segments by mutual agreement, so you will see them in the narrative even if they are not deck members.

The launch song list

More than 150 songs are available immediately when the game opens. The library spans hololive originals, unit songs, and cover songs. Every featured member gets either two original songs or one original plus a cover, so each talent has at least two tracks tied to them. Group songs that include graduated talents are also playable.

The group set includes staples like Shiny Smily Story (2022 ver.), Blue Clapper, and Our Bright Parade, alongside unit numbers such as Wicked from DeathStar (Calli x Suisei) and III from Kobo x Marine. Solo lineups range from Suisei’s Stellar Stellar and BIBBIDIBA to Sakura Miko’s flower rhapsody. A brand-new theme song sung by all featured members is also planned.

What to do outside the rhythm charts

There is more to the game than tapping notes. hololive Park is a hub world you build up over time, filled with hololive NPCs to talk to. You take quests and play minigames there to unlock new facilities, including examples like the Gen 3 facility’s Hoppin’ Rope.

A second area, the Megasphere, holds minigame zones that mix 3D platforming with casino-style games, with each facility tied to a specific member. There is also an amusement park island with holo-themed areas, a fireworks show by the island’s castle, and chibi versions of the members gathered around it. A third area has been teased but not yet detailed.

Get ready before launch day

Pre-register on the official page. Signing up ahead of time links you to the launch and any pre-registration milestones, so you are set to log in as soon as servers open on July 23.
Pick your platform in advance. Decide whether you want to play on iOS, Android, or PC through Steam, since your deck and progress live on the account you create rather than the device.
Plan a starter team around a member you enjoy. Because skills and skins change how a talent performs, having a clear favorite to build a deck around makes the early hours easier to follow.

Note: No official launch time or timezone has been confirmed, only the July 23, 2026 date. Treat any specific hour you see elsewhere as unverified until Cover confirms it. Once the game is live, you will know pre-registration carried over because your account loads directly into the tutorial and hub without needing a separate claim step.
