Weapon Transcendence is the new top-end upgrade layer in Endless Ragnarok, and it applies to every weapon in the game rather than being a fresh set of drops. Once a weapon is maxed, transcending it pushes its stats far beyond what Terminus weapons offered, adds swappable trait slots, and unlocks extra passives you can invest in. Here is how to reach it, what it needs, and how to make each weapon its strongest.
Quick answer: Upgrade a weapon to level 150, unlock the Fatebreaker grade by clearing The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage, Conflux Cycle 3, the Seofon and Tweyen event, and the rank-up quest A Trial of Two Eternities, then spend transcendence treasures to raise that weapon up to seven times.
Requirements to unlock Weapon Transcendence
Transcendence becomes available only after you earn the Fatebreaker skyfarer grade and begin the Endless Ragnarok quests. That grade is gated behind a short chain of milestones, and the weapon itself must already be fully upgraded before the option appears.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Clear the main story milestone | Complete The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage |
| Clear Conflux Cycle 3 | Finish cycles 1 through 3 in the Conflux mode |
| Watch the Eternals event | A scene starring Seofon and Tweyen plays after Cycle 3 |
| Clear the rank-up quest | A Trial of Two Eternities unlocks the Fatebreaker grade |
| Weapon level | The weapon must be fully upgraded to level 150 |
Once the Fatebreaker grade is active and you have started the Endless Ragnarok questline, the transcendence option opens up for eligible weapons at the smith.

Add to Google Preferences →How the seven transcendence levels work
Transcendence is a system layered on top of a weapon you already own, not a new weapon. After a weapon hits level 150, you can transcend it up to seven times by spending specific treasures. Each level raises the weapon’s stats and unlocks swappable traits tied to that weapon type, along with additional trait slots.

The very first transcendence is the biggest jump. It converts the weapon into a Transcendent weapon and immediately makes it stronger than a Terminus version, which is why fully grinding out Terminus weapons is no longer necessary. Every transcendence level also adds a new weapon collection bonus in the Collection Mastery window, which you then unlock by spending Mastery Points. Over time you will want to transcend every weapon a character can use to claim all of those passives.
Note: Ascension and Terminus weapons cannot be transcended right away. That capability opens up later as you progress through the Endless Ragnarok story.
Fastest way to farm transcendence materials
Each of the seven levels costs materials, and you can pick some up from the new Endless Ragnarok quests. The most efficient source, though, is the Conflux, the solo rogue-like mode. Reaching Conflux Cycle 4 yields enough materials to transcend a weapon up to level 3 in one push.

Higher levels demand more. As you clear more story content and open later Conflux cycles, you unlock the quests and rewards needed to carry a weapon all the way to level 7. Because the Conflux is single-player and its rewards refresh with each survey, it is the steadiest loop for stockpiling the required treasures.
How to swap weapon traits
Transcending a weapon lets you swap some of its traits, so you can chase better effects or experiment without abandoning the weapon. Not every trait can be moved. The list of eligible traits is shown when you preview transcendence.
How to confirm a weapon is transcended
You will know the process worked when the weapon is relabeled as a Transcendent weapon and its stats climb noticeably after the first level. The “Swap Traits” option appears beneath it in the Gear menu, and a new entry shows up in the Collection Mastery window for you to buy with Mastery Points. If the transcendence option is greyed out or missing, the two most common reasons are that the weapon is not yet at level 150 or that you have not earned the Fatebreaker grade and started the Endless Ragnarok quests.
Get one weapon to level 7 and unlock its full trait pool, and you will have a clear template for every other weapon you decide to push. From there, it comes down to how much time you spend running the Conflux for materials.
