Ships are the boats you sail to move between islands and cross into new Seas in Haze Seas. Open water blocks you on foot, so a boat is required for basic travel. You need one to reach fresh islands, push into later Seas, and chase down bosses or events that spawn away from land.
Quick answer: Everyone starts with the free Dinghy at 45 Speed. Buy the Sailboat for $500 or the Galleon for $5,000 from any Boat Merchant. The fastest option is the Striker at 140 Speed, sold as a 599 Robux gamepass.
Where ships come from in Haze Seas
There are three ways to add a boat to your collection, and each ship falls into one of them:
- Gamepasses bought with Robux for the highest-speed hulls.
- NPC Vendors, specifically the Boat Merchant, who sells boats for in-game Cash.
- Boss and event drops, including chest rewards and limited holiday bosses.

Speed is the main difference between boats, and it controls how quickly you close the gaps between islands. Here is every ship, how you get it, and its speed rating.

Buying a boat from the Boat Merchant
The Boat Merchant is the reliable early upgrade path since both purchases use in-game Cash rather than Robux. The Sailboat costs $500 and nearly doubles your starting speed, while the Galleon costs $5,000 and reaches 110 Speed.
Drop-only and limited ships
Two boats skip the shop entirely and come from combat or chests. The Lamb Boat drops at a guaranteed 100% rate from the Mimic Chest, so opening that chest gives you a 100 Speed hull outright. The Xmas Sled is far rarer, tied to the Winter Event as a 1% drop from the Krampus Boss, and it matches the Galleon at 110 Speed.
Note: Because the Xmas Sled only exists during the seasonal event, it cannot be farmed outside that window. If the event is not running, the Krampus Boss will not be available to drop it.
The fastest ships and what they cost
The two quickest boats are locked behind Robux gamepasses. The Striker tops the list at 140 Speed for 599 Robux, and the Coffin Boat follows at 130 Speed for 499 Robux. Both outrun anything you can buy with in-game Cash, which makes them the pick if you want to shave travel time on long routes between Seas.
If you are spending only Cash, the Galleon at 110 Speed is the ceiling. The Lamb Boat sits just below it at 100 Speed and costs nothing beyond clearing a Mimic Chest, which makes it a strong free alternative before you commit to a paid hull.
