Flame Kenjutsu is one of the fire-themed sword styles in Shindo Life, built around burn damage and a red, flame-like trail that follows your weapon during attacks and blocks. It sits among the easier styles to roll, and it hands you five skills once you meet the level, Chi, and Ryo requirements. That mix of accessible odds and steady damage makes it a solid pick for newer players.
Quick answer: Open the menu, go to the Kenjutsu tab, press Change-Kenjutsu, then spin with the [RANDOMIZE] 10 SPINS button. Flame Kenjutsu has a 1/10 roll chance, and your first Kenjutsu spin is free.

How to roll Flame Kenjutsu with Spins
Kenjutsus are rolled with Spins, not bought outright. Flame Kenjutsu carries a rarity of 1/10, which puts it near the top of the common tier and means you should land it within a handful of rerolls on average.
You know it worked when the style shows in your active Kenjutsu slot and your equipped weapon leaves a red, fire-clad trail when you swing or block. If you are short on Spins, you can stock up by redeeming codes, finishing daily missions and quests, ranking up, and claiming Daily and Free Rewards.

Flame Kenjutsu levels from 0 to 2,000. Four skills unlock automatically as you climb the level, Chi, and Ryo thresholds below.
| Skill | Level | Chi | Ryo | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ken Style: Scorching Dice | 300 | 550 | 100,000 | Charge forward and swing a horizontal area-of-effect slash that burns enemies in range. |
| Ken Style: Heatwave Breaker | 750 | 2,700 | 300,000 | Dash forward with a vertical slash, creating a wheel of fire that damages on contact. |
| Ken Style: Flame Ignition | 1,400 | 3,000 | 500,000 | Swing in a circle, dash, then swipe downward, spawning small fire projectiles that home in on targets. |
| Ken Style: Dragon Blade Dance | 1,700 | 5,000 | 600,000 | Form a circle of fire and transform into a dragon that flies out and explodes on impact for heavy burn damage. |
Flame Ignition hits the hardest of the standard four, and both it and Dragon Blade Dance scale higher when you pair the moves with an active mode. The projectiles from Flame Ignition track opponents, which helps land damage at range without a clean line of sight.
How to unlock the Flame Kenjutsu Q move
The fifth skill, Flame Kenjutsu Q, is not unlocked through levels. You earn it from the Kenjutsu Trainer, an NPC found in a traditional house in the mountains outside Nimbus Village.
Kenjutsu blade and second slot costs
The same Kenjutsu Trainer can chi-forge a custom Kenjutsu blade for you. You need to be at least S Rank before you can forge one, and the blade is paid for with RELL Coins and Spins.
| Option | Cost |
|---|---|
| Single Kenjutsu blade | 10,000 RELL Coins + 20 Spins |
| Dual Kenjutsu blades | 20,000 RELL Coins + 20 Spins |
| Second Kenjutsu slot | 100,000 RELL Coins |
A second Kenjutsu slot lets you equip another style alongside Flame Kenjutsu. Dual-wielded Ninja Tools show both trails, while a single-handed tool only shows the trail of your primary Kenjutsu.
How to turn off the Flame Kenjutsu trail
The red flame trail is cosmetic and can be switched off if you prefer a cleaner screen during fights.
With the style slotted, its four skills unlocked by level, and the Q move earned from five wins against the Kenjutsu Trainer, Flame Kenjutsu gives you a complete fire moveset that holds up well while you build toward rarer styles.
