Home Alone (Anomaly) Roblox: How to Identify Every Visitor

The exact tell that marks each doorstep visitor as safe or an Anomaly, plus how the sanity system works.

The exact tell that marks each doorstep visitor as safe or an Anomaly, plus how the sanity system works.

In Home Alone, a doorstep horror game on Roblox, your Mum leaves for the night and you have to keep the house safe until she returns at 6 AM. Visitors knock, but not all of them are the neighbours they claim to be. Some are Anomalies, fake copies that only give themselves away through one specific detail you can check before you open the door.

Quick answer: Every visitor has both a real form and an Anomalous form, so inspect each one. Verify their story, listen to their voice, and pull up the laptop cameras (with night vision) before deciding. If the tell points to an Anomaly, turn off the porch light using the switch to the right of the front door and they will leave. If they check out, open the door.

How the Anomaly and sanity system works

The goal of the night is to raise $180 by completing chores on the board and answering the door to the people who genuinely need help. Every correct call earns allowance money and keeps you alive.

Letting an Anomaly inside drops your Sanity meter, which starts at 100. If Sanity reaches 0, the run ends. There are three tools for judging a visitor before you commit.

  • Verify the details of their story against what is actually happening in the house.
  • Listen to their voice for glitches, pitch shifts, or demonic tones.
  • Open the laptop in the front room and check the cameras, switching on night vision to expose changes.

If the visitor fails their check, flip the porch light off and they disappear. If they pass, open the door and finish the interaction to collect your reward.

Every visitor and the exact tell that exposes an Anomaly

Each visitor has a single reliable check. Match the person at the door to the table, run the check, and act on the result.

VisitorHow to spot the Anomaly
Police ManLook outside. A police car parked in front means he is real. A beat-up van means Anomaly.
Cat LadyShe says her cat is black. Check your parents’ bedroom, next to the bed. Black cat is safe, white cat is Anomaly.
New NeighbourOn the cameras with night vision on, if his face is pressed against the screen, he is an Anomaly.
ClassmateListen. If his voice flips between normal and a gravelly demonic tone, he is an Anomaly. A steady voice is safe.
Guy Who Needs To PeeOn the cameras, switch on night vision. If he suddenly looks taller, he is an Anomaly.
Dumped GirlOn the cameras, if she is smiling and staring straight at you, she is an Anomaly. Crying normally is safe.
StreamerCheck his hand. Holding a giant phone means he is a real streamer. No phone means Anomaly.
VampireNever let him in. There is no confirmed safe version of this visitor.
FirefighterHe claims smoke is coming from your oven. Check it. Smoke billowing out means he is real. No smoke means Anomaly.
PlumberHe says the bath faucet is leaking. Check the faucet. Water leaking means let him in. Dry means Anomaly.
City MaintenanceHe says the water should be brown. Check the sink. Brown running water is real. No water at all means Anomaly.
Homeless ManCheck the cameras. If he does not appear on cam at all, he is an Anomaly. Visible on cam is safe.
Secret AgentOn the cameras with night vision, if he turns into a 7ft alien, he is an Anomaly.
Party GirlListen. If her voice echoes melodically, she is an Anomaly. A normal voice is safe.
BallerinaOn the camera, if she is dancing on the doorstep, she is an Anomaly. Standing still is safe.
Dog OwnerCheck the backyard camera. A dog sitting there means let him in. The owner on all fours barking means Anomaly.
Wifi KidOpen the cameras. A repeated camera-shutter glitch sound means he is an Anomaly. No glitch is safe.
Lost GirlOn the cameras with night vision, if she looks giant, she is an Anomaly. Same size in both views is safe.
Sleepy WomanOn the cameras, if her head snaps forward when you turn on night vision, she is an Anomaly.
Obby PlayerSwitch to the camera on his mum’s car. If he is smashing it with his fist, he is an Anomaly. A normal view is safe.
Gym BroListen. An incredibly high-pitched voice means Anomaly. A normal voice is good to go.

Visitors without a confirmed tell yet

A few visitors still appear at the door, but a reliable identification method for their Anomalous form has not been pinned down. Treat these with extra care and lean on the general checks, comparing their story against the house and watching the cameras closely.

VisitorRequest
Next Door NeighbourAn older woman who wants to argue about where your CCTV camera points.
Old ManA grey-haired man in a suit trying to find his daughter’s house.
Drunk GirlA stumbling girl in a black dress asking to use your phone.

The Goblin Stalker is not a door visitor

A small, pale goblin appears around the house throughout the night to jumpscare you. It is not a doorstep visitor and it cannot actually harm you or drain Sanity. There is nothing to check here, so ignore it and carry on with your chores.

You will know your decisions are landing when your money climbs toward $180 without Sanity dropping. Learn the normal layout of the house early, keep a repeatable route between the door, the laptop, and the rooms each visitor references, and every check above becomes a fast yes-or-no call. Survive the night without inviting an Anomaly inside and you will reach the ending when Mum comes home.
