Cooking in DragonSword Awakening turns raw ingredients gathered across the Continent of Orbis into healing food, party buffs, and even ally revives. There are 73 standard dishes split across three preparation methods, and you register each one the first time you cook it. Everything below lists the exact ingredient mix and what the finished dish does.
Quick answer: Combine the exact ingredients for a dish at a cooking station to register it permanently in your cookbook. The 73 recipes break down into Grilling (29 healing dishes), Boiling (26 buff stews and revive teas), and Slicing (18 stamina dishes). For a 5-star result, use three 4-star ingredients, or triple a single 4-star ingredient on one-ingredient recipes.
How recipes register and how star ratings work
You do not start with a full cookbook. Each dish has to be cooked once before it is written into the cooking menu, so early play involves matching the ingredient combinations to discover new recipes. Once a dish is registered, you can remake it without guessing the ingredients again.
Ingredient quality controls how strong the result is. Higher-rated ingredients produce a stronger dish, so two meals with the same listed effect can differ in potency depending on what went into them. To reach a 5-star version, use three 4-star ingredients in a multi-ingredient recipe. For single-ingredient dishes such as Grilled Meat, triple the base ingredient to get the same 5-star result.
If a combination does not match any real recipe, you produce the Mysterious Dish instead. It is toxic and signals that the mix is wrong, so treat it as feedback rather than a usable meal.

All Slicing recipes (stamina and status management)
Slicing makes 18 uncooked dishes built mostly from fish, seafood, grains, and vegetables. Their main job is cutting stamina drain during traversal, including the stamina you and your Familiar burn while flying, swimming, dashing, and climbing. Most of these reductions last one minute, so time them right before a long glide, dive, or climb. A few Slicing dishes cure status effects instead.

Confirming a recipe registered
When your ingredient mix matches a real recipe, the dish is created and added to your cookbook, so you can remake it later without repeating the guesswork. If nothing matches, you get the toxic Mysterious Dish, which is the clearest sign the combination is wrong. Cooking with lower-rated ingredients still registers the recipe, just at a weaker effect, so it is fine to log a dish now and upgrade its quality later.
Work through the three methods one at a time and you can clear all 73 recipes. Keep the Grilling dishes stocked for quick health and stamina, brew the Boiling stews for party buffs before boss fights, and hold a revive tea in reserve for the moment a run starts to slip.
