A breakdown of the Seven Sprite’s enemy foot-trail ability, its variants, summon cost, and where to find it in Chapter 7 Season 3.

The Seven Sprite is a legendary Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 that turns your squad into trackers. Its whole job is to reveal enemy movement, and how useful it is comes down to whether you play with teammates and how often you push toward gunfights instead of avoiding them.

Quick answer: The Seven Sprite shows enemy player foot trails to your entire Squad, lasting 10 seconds at base and scaling up to 30 seconds at max level. It is strongest in Squads as a tracking tool and much weaker in solo play, where the shared-team benefit is wasted.

What the Seven Sprite does

When active, the Seven Sprite makes enemy player foot trails visible in the world for your Squad. Those trails mark where opponents have recently walked, so your team can read rotations, spot flanks, and confirm whether a building was just cleared. Because the effect is shared across the whole Squad, one teammate running the Sprite benefits everyone at once.

The length of the visible trail grows every time you level up the Sprite. At base it leaves a short 10-second trail, and at max level that stretches to a full 30 seconds of tracked movement.

LevelFoot trail duration
Base10 seconds
Level Up 115 seconds
Level Up 220 seconds
Level Up 325 seconds
Level Up 4 (max)30 seconds

Where to find and how to get the Seven Sprite

The Seven Sprite is spotted near high and mountainous areas of the map. Look for elevated terrain and peaks rather than low-lying POIs when hunting for it.

Head toward high ground and mountainous zones where the Seven Sprite appears. Open Sprite Chests in those areas, since the base Seven Sprite has a 6.98% drop chance from them.

Take the Sprite to an Extraction Site to secure it. These sites are marked with white icons on the map, sit near main POIs, and shoot up a beam of light so the nearest one is easy to locate.
If you already have one and lose it, you can summon the Seven Sprite back for a cost of 4,500.

Is the Seven Sprite worth using?

The Seven Sprite is a strong pick if your goal is information. Enemy foot trails let a coordinated Squad track where opponents are moving, which is valuable when pushing fights, defending a position, or chasing a knocked player’s teammates. A 30-second trail at max level covers enough time to piece together a full rotation.

The catch is that the effect is built around your Squad. In solo modes there is no team to share the vision with, so the value drops sharply. Players who avoid combat and rotate quietly also get less out of it, since the trails only matter when you plan to act on enemy positions.

Note: The trail only appears for a set window, so it reveals recent movement rather than pinpointing an enemy’s exact current spot. Treat it as a lead to follow, not a live location marker.

Weighed overall, the Seven Sprite earns its legendary status for aggressive Squad play and is well worth leveling if you fight often with a team. If you mostly play solo or prefer a passive, low-contact style, a Sprite with a more direct combat or survival effect will do more for you.
