Green Goblin is one of the strongest and most approachable characters in Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls. Norman Osborn fights with a mix of curving projectiles, timed bombs, and a rideable glider that opens up an entire second layer of attacks in the air. His moves are easy to input, but the glider system is what separates a casual pick from a genuine threat.
Quick answer: Stay grounded early and poke with Light and Medium attacks, throw a Pumpkin Bomb to interrupt an opponent’s move, then close matches by spamming the Light attack combo when they are low on health. Save the glider for dodging projectiles, since it drains the Glider Gauge.

Green Goblin abilities and skill gauge costs
Green Goblin’s kit splits into ground skills, glider-only actions, and two big meter dumps. The table below lists what each move does and how much Skill Gauge the strongest (Heavy) version costs.
| Ability | Type | What it does | Gauge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Razor Bats | Skill | Bat-shaped projectiles with a curving path; can be thrown up to three times, and works on the ground, in the air, or on the glider. | 25 |
| Pumpkin Bomb | Skill | Throws a bomb with one of four alternating effects; a new bomb can’t be thrown until the current one explodes. | 25 |
| Shock & Awe | Skill | Forward punch; the Medium and Heavy versions hit as an overhead. Cannot be used on the glider. | 25 |
| Glider Raid | Skill | Sends the glider across the screen as an independent attack that changes with each input. | 25 |
| Sky Scraper | Super Skill | Launches the glider forward, then detonates it in a large explosion. Usable on the ground, in the air, or on the glider. | 50 |
| Goblin Surprise | Ultimate Skill | Fires a missile, then mounts the glider for a powerful follow-up. Strongest when it connects up close. | 100 |
The four Pumpkin Bomb variants each apply a different status. Learning which one you have out matters, because the effect changes how you follow up.
| Bomb | Effect |
|---|---|
| Sticky Bomb | Slows the opponent’s movement. |
| Explosive Bomb | Incendiary hit that launches the opponent. |
| Poison Bomb | No active hitbox, but deals continuous damage to anyone in range. |
| Stun Bomb | Electric shock that stuns the opponent. |
Note: The opponent can destroy a Pumpkin Bomb by attacking it, and when it is blocked it explodes after a short delay. That delay lets you time the blast to overlap with another attack.

Add to Google Preferences →How the Glider Gauge and glider state work
The glider is the core of Green Goblin’s identity. When you use Glider Summon, he mounts it and a purple Glider Gauge appears above his health bar. While he is riding, that gauge drains over time, and once it empties he cannot climb back on until it refills. This is the main resource you have to budget.
You can also enter the glider state with Flyby Kick. If that flying kick connects, Goblin automatically mounts the glider. If the gauge is already empty, the mount fails.
While riding, a separate set of moves becomes available:
- Glider Attack A is a close scratch in front of Goblin, and a direction input lets you attack while moving.
- Glider Attack B fires a missile that tracks the opponent.
- Glider Attack C throws a projectile at a downward angle, and can also be done on the move.
- Glider Dash lunges in a chosen direction. The straight-up version has invincibility during the movement, so it doubles as an escape, but it burns a large chunk of the gauge.
- Glider Retreat disembarks, and directional inputs steer his descent.
Tip: Holding the attack button while Glider Dashing straight down or diagonally down adds a low follow-up hit. Both Razor Bats and Pumpkin Bomb can also be performed while moving on the glider, which keeps your projectile pressure going in the air.
Best Green Goblin combos and damage
A handful of routes cover most situations, from a bread-and-butter finisher to a full-meter knockout. Here is what each one does and how to trigger it.
Light attack combo (finisher)
Stand directly in front of the opponent and repeatedly press Light. Goblin chains eight consecutive strikes, then flows into a Tokon Assemble for eight more hits, capping the sequence with a Pumpkin Bomb. The full string can remove over 50,000 health, which makes it your go-to close-out when someone is nearly dead.
Medium and Heavy dash combo
Press Medium and Heavy together while moving toward your opponent. Goblin dashes in, fires a Pumpkin Bomb shot, and follows with a strong kick for a quick three-hit sequence worth roughly 16,000 damage. It is fast and reliable for opening someone up or punishing a whiff.
Sky Scraper (Super Skill)
Press the Unique and Quick Skill buttons together, repeatedly, to launch Sky Scraper. Goblin sends the glider forward and blows it up, hitting from a distance for over 20,000 damage. Its speed and range make it safe to throw out from across the screen.
Goblin Surprise (Ultimate Skill)
Hold the direction toward your opponent and press Heavy to fire the Ultimate. Goblin launches a missile and unloads a multi-hit sequence, throwing several karambit knives as he goes. It deals more than 40,000 damage and connects hardest at close range, so it is the cleanest way to seal a round with 100 Gauge banked. On hit, the Glider Gauge refills and Goblin ends up still riding the glider.
How to play Green Goblin
Green Goblin sits at an easy pick-up level, rated two stars for ease of use, yet he punches well above that. The plan is straightforward.
Play those four beats in order and Green Goblin becomes one of the most punishing characters to fight against. His bombs stall your opponent, his glider dodges what they throw, and his combos convert a single mistake into a huge chunk of health. Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls launches on PS5 and PC on August 6th, 2026.
