Square Enix has confirmed the full contents of the Collector’s Edition for Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold, the game’s sixth expansion, which is set to launch in January 2027. The reveal covered both a physical bundle stuffed with themed goods and a digital edition built around three exclusive in-game items. What is not yet confirmed is how much any of it costs or when preorders open.
Quick answer: The Evercold Collector’s Edition comes in two forms. A physical bundle with a Reaper figure, art box, tapestry, keychain, and plush, and a digital edition containing the Valhallar Odin mount, the Entreat Crystal emote, and the Crystal Skyltborg weapon. All three digital items are included with the physical bundle. Square Enix has not announced pricing or a preorder date.
Physical bundle contents
The physical Collector’s Bundle pairs a set of collectible goods with the digital in-game items. The centerpiece is an expertly crafted Reaper figure modeled on Meteor, the stand-in for the player character, accompanied by a wraith. The rest of the box leans into Evercold‘s frozen setting and its key art from Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano.

Digital Collector’s Edition items
The Digital Collector’s Edition includes the expansion plus three in-game cosmetics. These same three items are bundled with the physical set, so buyers do not need both to get them.
- Valhallar Odin mount — a mechanical horse drawn from the Final Fantasy XIII series
- Entreat Crystal emote — a new character emote
- Crystal Skyltborg — a cosmetic weapon for the new Bastion tank job
The Skyltborg refers to the pair of greatshields wielded by Bastion, the expansion’s new main-tank job, so the cosmetic weapon lines up directly with a class you can play in Evercold.
The Valhallar Odin mount transforms into a mech
The Valhallar Odin is the headline in-game reward. On the ground it works as a mechanical horse mount, and in the air it transforms in real time into a mech, letting you fly. Square Enix showed the transformation and roughly a minute of gameplay footage in a dedicated trailer.
Price and preorder status
Square Enix has not announced a price for either version of the Collector’s Edition, and no preorder date has been confirmed. The reveal covered contents and imagery only, with availability details promised at a later date.
For reference, the expansion has historically split its top-tier offerings into a Collector’s Box, which is the physical goods without a game code, and a full Collector’s Edition, which adds the game code and digital items. A separate all-digital Collector’s Edition covers the expansion plus the in-game cosmetics. Expect the same structure here, but treat any specific figures as unconfirmed until Square Enix publishes them.
Note: The next Fan Festival takes place in Tokyo in November, and the final new job for Evercold is due to be revealed there. Further Collector’s Edition availability and preorder details may follow around that period, though no official date is currently confirmed.
Release timing to keep in mind
Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold launches in January 2027 across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with no specific day pinned down yet. The expansion raises the level cap to 110, adds the Bastion tank job, a new city called Fargarth, and new areas aboard the Fourth’s Realmships.
Ahead of that, Final Fantasy XIV will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, with an approximately one-month free subscription period at launch. That gives Switch 2 players several months to catch up before the Collector’s Edition contents become playable alongside Evercold in early 2027.
