The Villain Invasion shop sells this Secret Equipment for 10,000 Villain Coins, and it only works with Crow (Black Fire).

Illusion Crow is a Secret Equipment in Anime Expeditions, added on July 25, 2026 as part of the Villain Update (0.5). It is a Unit-type gear piece built specifically for Crow (Black Fire), the Secret unit modeled after Itachi Uchiha. Equipping it raises the unit’s Range and Damage and replaces its Broken Mind passive with a stronger version.

Quick answer: Buy Illusion Crow from the Villain Invasion Event shop for 10,000 Villain Coins. It is the single most expensive item in that shop, and it can only be attached to Crow (Black Fire).

Where to buy Illusion Crow in Anime Expeditions

Illusion Crow is not a random drop and it is not pulled from a banner. It sits in the Villain Invasion Event shop as a straight purchase, priced at 10,000 Villain Coins. That price tag makes it the costliest entry in the shop, above the other 5,000-coin equipment items.

You spend Villain Coins, the red event currency, rather than Gems. Once you have the coins, open the event menu, go to the shop, and confirm the purchase. The item is then added to your inventory, where you can attach it to Crow (Black Fire).

Note: Because the equipment is locked to a single unit, buying it is only worthwhile if you already own Crow (Black Fire) or plan to chase it. If you do not have the unit, your Villain Coins are better spent on evolution materials and rerolls for the units you actually field.

How to earn the 10,000 Villain Coins

Villain Coins come from the Villain Invasion event, which runs through the Crow Hideout gamemode. You battle through three Acts before facing Crow himself in Crow Mode, and both the daily quests and the one-time Villain Invasion quests hand out coins for clearing stages.

Reaching 10,000 coins does not take long once you grind the quest list. A handful of full Villain Invasion clears, plus the daily quests, will push you past the mark. Some of the larger quest payouts include the following.

QuestRequirementVillain Coins
Crow Conqueror #1Clear Crow Mode once2,500
Crow Conqueror #2Clear Crow Mode 5 times5,000
Complete Villain InvasionFinish 11 non-daily quests5,000
Daily ConquerorClear 1 Crow Hideout stage500

Tip: The daily quests reset each day, so logging in and clearing a single stage keeps a steady stream of coins coming while you work through the harder one-time objectives.

What Illusion Crow does when equipped

Illusion Crow gives Crow (Black Fire) a flat stat boost and a rewritten passive. The stat gains roll within a range, so two copies can land on different values inside these limits.

StatRollable range
Range+1% to +5%
Damage+1% to +10%

The bigger change is to the Broken Mind passive. By default, Crow’s Illusion tags enemies and stores every hit they take from him, then releases 25% of that stored damage as a small 2-range AoE when Illusion expires. Illusion Crow overrides this and pushes the release up to 50% effectiveness in the same 2-range area.

PassiveStored damage released
Broken Mind (base)25% in a 2-range AoE
Broken Mind (Illusion Crow)50% in a 2-range AoE

Doubling the released damage makes the equipment a clear upgrade for anyone running Crow (Black Fire) against tightly packed waves, where the stored-damage burst hits multiple enemies at once.

Is Illusion Crow worth buying?

If you own Crow (Black Fire), yes. The stat boosts and the stronger Broken Mind release make the unit hit noticeably harder, and there is no downside beyond the coin cost. It pairs best with a slot where enemies stack up, letting the AoE burst clear clusters.

If you do not have Crow (Black Fire) yet, hold off. The equipment cannot be used on any other unit, so those 10,000 coins go further on evolution items and rerolls until the unit is actually in your roster. Once Crow is yours, circle back and grab Illusion Crow before the Villain Invasion event ends.
