ViveTool codes are numeric feature IDs that flip on functionality Microsoft has already shipped inside Windows 11 but hasn’t turned on for everyone yet. Each code corresponds to a specific feature flag buried in the operating system, and running it through the ViveTool command line switches that flag from off to on.
Codes are tied to specific Windows 11 builds and channels, so a code that works on a stable monthly update won’t necessarily do anything on an Insider Preview build, and vice versa. Some features also depend on specific hardware or are limited to certain regions, so a code enabling correctly does not always guarantee the feature will appear.

How to enable a code with ViveTool
ViveTool is a free command-line tool built by developers Rafael Rivera and Lucas, distributed on GitHub rather than through Microsoft. It reads and writes the same feature-flag storage that Windows itself uses, so no registry editing is required.
C:\ViveTool.cd command.vivetool /enable /id:feature-codeFor example, vivetool /enable /id:57048231 turns on the November 2025 update bundle. When a listing shows several numbers separated by commas, all of them belong in the same /id: argument, in the order given.
Two other commands are worth knowing. vivetool /query lists every feature flag currently registered on the machine along with its status, though it shows raw IDs rather than plain-language names. vivetool /disable /id:feature-code reverses a change, and vivetool /fullreset clears every flag back to default.
Note: ViveTool is not supported by Microsoft, and enabling a code is not a guarantee the feature will appear or behave the way it eventually does after a full rollout. Creating a system restore point before experimenting is a reasonable precaution, especially on a machine you rely on daily.
Insider Preview codes for versions 25H2 and 26H2
These codes apply to preview builds distributed through the Experimental and Beta channels of the Windows Insider Program. A code from an older build usually keeps working in a newer one unless the feature itself gets pulled or its underlying ID changes.
