Fortnite Springfield Reloaded Patch Notes: The Confidential POI and John Wick Sprite

Everything changing when the Simpsons map lands in Reload on July 30, from the new neutral-zone POI to a Reload-exclusive Sprite.

Springfield is coming back to Fortnite, and this time it slots into Reload as a solo playlist called Springfield Reloaded. The map keeps its Simpsons landmarks but adds a brand-new point of interest, a Reload-only John Wick Sprite, a free skin style, and a reshuffled loot pool. Here is exactly what changes and how long you have to play it.

Quick answer: Springfield Reloaded goes live on July 30, 2026 after downtime that begins at 4 AM ET, with servers expected back around 6 AM ET. It runs as a solo Reload playlist until August 3, 2026, after which Elite Stronghold and Slurp Rush return to the normal rotation.

Springfield Reloaded release time and downtime

Fortnite goes down for maintenance at 4 AM ET on July 30, 2026, and the servers stay offline for roughly two hours. Once they come back at around 6 AM ET, Springfield Reloaded is playable immediately as a solo mode. Unlike a standard map swap, this one is on a timer, so plan your sessions accordingly.

Springfield stays in play until August 3, 2026. After that date, the map leaves the solo playlist and Reload returns to its usual timed rotation with Elite Stronghold and Slurp Rush. The Simpsons-specific loot does not follow those maps, so anything unique to Springfield disappears when it rotates out.

The Confidential POI and its no-combat rules

The headline addition to the map is a new point of interest called The Confidential, a John Wick-flavored hideout dropped into the middle of Springfield. It functions as a neutral zone. The moment you step inside, weapons are holstered and fighting is off the table.

Springfield Reloaded also raises the lobby size to 50 players instead of the usual 40, so expect more fights breaking out across the map. The Confidential is your pressure-release valve, but breaking its rules carries a steep penalty. Here is how the zone behaves:

  • Passive healing runs while you stand inside The Confidential’s walls.
  • Proximity chat is turned on inside the building.
  • Firing a shot marks you as excommunicado, making you a target for everyone on the map.
  • An excommunicado player gets unlimited stamina and faster reload speeds. Only one player can hold that status at a time.
  • Killing the excommunicado player rewards 1,500 Gold plus improved loot.

New NPCs on the map

Two familiar faces wait for you on the Starter Island before you drop in. Homer greets you there, and John Wick himself appears as an NPC (his dog is not part of this one). Moe rounds out the crossover cast and can be found inside The Confidential.

John Wick Sprite (Reload exclusive)

Springfield Reloaded introduces a John Wick Sprite, and it is the only Sprite you can use in Reload for now. When equipped, it reveals nearby enemies to you and your squad for a few seconds after you knock down or eliminate an opponent, turning every kill into a brief scan of the area.

You can pick one up in three ways:

  • Eliminate a player who is already carrying it.
  • Find one in a normal chest or a Sprite chest.
  • Win a match.

Other Sprites, including the Demon Sprite, are not usable in this playlist, so you cannot bring your regular Reload loadout tricks with you here. To haul a Sprite safely to extraction, the Portable Extractor from Battle Royale has been added to Reload as well.

Free Simpsonified John Wick skin style

If you own the Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass, you can unlock a Simpsonified John Wick style at no extra cost. You earn it by completing Reload Quests, and it becomes available the moment downtime ends on July 30, 2026. Owning the pass is the gate here, so check that first if the style does not appear.

Loot pool changes for Reload

The update vaults and unvaults a long list of weapons and items, and layers Springfield-only gear on top. Map-specific loot like Krusty’s Mr. Blasty only appears while Springfield is live, so it will not carry over once the map leaves rotation. Here is the full breakdown.

Ranked season rewards

A new Ranked Season arrives alongside the map, with rewards tied to quest completion. Two are currently listed, an Axe of Unreal pickaxe and a Victory Umbrella that has yet to be named.

Two Ranked handling changes ship with it. When Ranks reset, you keep your Skill Rating and get matched against players at a similar level. The post-match screen also shows new Ranked progress details, so you can see when eliminations and placements move your Rank.

Bug fixes and quality-of-life changes

A handful of Reload systems get reworked to smooth out solo play and looting.

  • Earn back Solo Reboots: With fewer than two Reboots left in Solo mode before the timer ends, you can recover them by dealing damage to opponents. Fill the damage meter to earn a Reboot back.
  • Re-looting: Chests now restock over time, so a picked-clean chest can be worth revisiting.
  • Elimination skull icon: The skull marker after you die is now larger and lasts longer, making it easier to see where you were beaten.

That covers what shifts when Springfield Reloaded drops. The clock matters more than usual here, since the map is only a solo playlist through August 3, 2026, so lock in your John Wick Sprite runs and quest rewards before it rotates back out.
