The Glitchy Arcade Machine is the moving objective at the heart of the Continue? quest, the storyline that brings Wreck-It Ralph into Disney Dreamlight Valley with the Pixel Perfect update. It never sits still. The machine flickers into view, waits for you to deal with it, then vanishes and reappears somewhere else across the Valley.
Quick answer: The Glitchy Arcade Machine moves four times. Find it on the Dream Castle bridge in the Plaza, then inside Scrooge McDuck’s shop, then inside The Forgotten’s treehouse in the Forgotten Lands, and finally inside Vanellope’s house. Check your current Continue? quest step to know which spot to visit.
All four Glitchy Arcade Machine locations
Each appearance is tied to a specific point in the quest, so the machine can only be in one place at a time. Follow the order below and match it to your active step.
| Appearance | Where it is | What to do there |
|---|---|---|
| First | The bridge to the Dream Castle in the Plaza | Interact with it and listen before it glitches away |
| Second | Inside Scrooge McDuck’s store | Clear five piles of glitchy cables, then feed it pies and root beer |
| Third | Inside The Forgotten’s treehouse in the Forgotten Lands | Smash the phasing bricks with the Royal Pickaxe and hand over the remains |
| Fourth | Inside Vanellope’s house | Clear the cables and whack the machine to bring Ralph out |

The Glitchy Arcade Machine only spawns once your Valley is ready for the Continue? quest. You need The Forgotten and Peter Pan unlocked as characters, and you must have finished the quest “The Music on the Wall.” With those conditions met, The Forgotten flags a strange arcade machine appearing near the Dream Castle, and the hunt begins.
Note: You can rename The Forgotten after befriending them, so your game may show a different name than the quest text does.
Finding the machine in the Forgotten Lands treehouse
The trickiest appearance comes after you finish with the machine inside Scrooge’s store. At this point the quest simply asks you to search the Valley for it, with no marker. If your village is heavily decorated, spotting the glitchy cables can be slow, so head straight to the location that never changes.

Tip: If you get lost between appearances, talk to The Forgotten. They are also searching for the machine and can offer clues.
Vanellope’s house and the final stop
The last place the machine settles is inside Vanellope’s home, wherever you have placed it in the Valley or on a Floating Island. Step into the chocolate volcano house and you’ll find Vanellope frustrated at the pile of cables around the newly arrived machine. Clear a path to it and whack the cabinet the way the old arcade owner, Mr. Litwack, used to. Ralph appears in an ethereal, T-posing form.
From here the quest shifts to freeing Ralph. You bake a “My Hero” Cookie using Wheat, Butter, and a Sweet such as Marshmallows, Sugarcane, or Cocoa Beans, slot an old arcade token into the machine to restore his color, then pay 10,000 Star Coins to build his home. Talk to Ralph once his house is complete to wrap up Continue?
How you know the hunt is over
Once Ralph is officially welcomed as a villager and you finish the closing conversation, the quest concludes and the Glitchy Arcade Machine stops moving for good. It converts into the Fix-It Felix Jr. Arcade Machine, a stable piece of furniture you can place anywhere you like. If Ralph is hard to talk to at the end, approach him from a few steps behind, since his attention can be awkward to catch.
