The Kortz Center Heist Finale just got a lot less frustrating. Rockstar has pushed a background patch for GTA Online that targets the stealth and combat bugs players kept running into during the summer’s big art robbery, from guards sounding the alarm for no reason to security cameras seeing through your disguise. It landed on July 30, 2026, and it slots into the same 1.73 game version that shipped the heist.
Quick answer: You don’t need to do anything. This is a server-side fix applied automatically, so simply relaunch GTA Online and the corrected behavior will be active the next time you run The Kortz Center Heist – Finale.
Kortz Center Heist Finale fixes in the July 30 update
Most of the work in this patch is aimed squarely at the Finale, where stealth runs were being ruined by guards reacting to nothing and cameras behaving inconsistently. The changes below are what actually shifted.
| Bug | After the fix |
|---|---|
| Guards alerted with no apparent trigger | Guards stay unaware unless you actually cause detection |
| Hedge maze guard near the sewer exit raised the alarm when stunned | Using a stun gun no longer alerts the rest of the guards |
| Guards alerted by player noise in the hedge maze | Movement noise no longer sets them off |
| Cutscene delay when entering via the skylight | The cutscene plays without the delay |
| CCTV system dialogue kept playing after the EMP disabled it | Dialogue stops once the EMP takes the system down |
| A moving security camera was hidden | The camera is now visible |
| Some guard blips had a shorter minimap range than intended | Blip detection range is corrected |
| CCTV footage deletion prompt appeared after footage was already deleted | The prompt no longer reappears |
| Players respawned in front of the Kortz Center after dying elsewhere | Respawns happen at the correct location |
| NOOSE agent armor was stronger than intended | Armor is reduced to its intended value |
| Disguised players were spotted by cameras at the loading bay | Disguises hold at the loading bay entrance |
| Security room guards detected players too easily | Detection is back to the expected level |
| A guard spawned behind players entering through the staff entrance | The guard no longer spawns there |
The practical upshot is a cleaner stealth path and a fairer loud approach. The NOOSE armor reduction in particular helps crews that decide to go in guns blazing near the end of the job.

Mission Creator fix in the same patch
Beyond the heist, the update addresses one Mission Creator problem. Prop spawning options were disappearing after you returned to the Mission Creator from Test Mode. Those options are now available again once you come back.
How the update is applied and where to read the notes
This is a background update, which means Rockstar handles it server-side without a separate download. It’s a routine step after a major DLC, and it does not change the game’s version number. Everything here still falls under title update 1.73, the build that introduced the heist on July 14, 2026. The full changelog lives in the official Rockstar Support patch notes, and the July 30 fixes were surfaced by community dataminer Tex2.
The patch reaches PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on both the Enhanced and Legacy versions. To confirm it’s active, load in and run the Finale. Guards should hold position until you genuinely trip detection, cameras should respect your disguise at the loading bay, and a wipeout away from the museum should no longer dump you back at its front doors.
How 1.73 has been patched since launch
The July 30 hotfix is the latest in a run of background patches that started days after the heist went live. Each one chipped away at problems that were blocking completion or paying out incorrectly.
| Date | Key fixes |
|---|---|
| July 16, 2026 | Activation Required error on Epic Games accounts, missing Fine Art Collector rewards, and corrected Doomsday Heist Act I–III payouts |
| July 17, 2026 | Swapped Mansion Trophies and Plaques, crashing actor-controlled vehicles (including the Annihilator Stealth failing its hover and rappel), missing Art Studio equipment, and Survival/Mission Creator save issues |
| July 23, 2026 | Locked Mansion Plaques and Trophies displaying early, the Exhibition Hall camera not moving, the Stealth Annihilator dropping during the rappel prompt, plus fixes to Most Wanted – Whitney, KnoWay Out, and Oscar Guzman Flies Again |
| July 30, 2026 | Guard detection, CCTV, respawn, NOOSE armor, and disguise fixes for the Finale, plus a Mission Creator prop spawning fix |
Together these updates make the Finale behave the way it was designed to, whether you’re threading through the hedge maze undetected or fighting your way out. With everything applied automatically, the only thing left to do is queue up the heist and go collect Albert Crisp’s Collection.
