Crystal Cove is a hidden fishing spot tucked inside a tunnel in The Depths, one of the deepest areas in the First Sea of Fisch. There’s no boat route or menu warp straight to it. You reach it by diving into a random ocean whirlpool, gliding through two underground zones, and walking into a specific tunnel that teleports you the rest of the way.
Quick answer: Find a randomly spawning whirlpool in the open ocean and jump into its center to teleport to Vertigo. Glide down through Vertigos Dip and The Depths, then walk into the tunnel on the rampart near 1302, -701, 1604. That entrance teleports you into Crystal Cove, and you’ll see a “Newly discovered location!” chat message with an XP reward.

What you need before heading to Crystal Cove
The trip is gated by a few things. Line them up first so you don’t get stuck halfway.
- A boat or jet ski to search the open ocean for a whirlpool.
- A glider, such as the Advanced Glider or Elite Glider, to cross the caverns.
- Diving gear for the dive into the whirlpool.
- The Depths Key, a special fish caught in Vertigo, to open the gate into The Depths.
- Your Vertigo bestiary at 100%, or the Depths Key will not work at the gate.
Note: you do not need the Chaotic Enchant Relic just to fish in Crystal Cove. That item is only for opening the Underground Music Venue, which is covered further down.

1302, -701, 1604. Stepping inside teleports you straight into Crystal Cove. How to know you made it
The moment you enter, the screen fades and shows • Crystal Cove •, an XP reward, and a system message reading [Newly discovered location!]. You’ll land in a cave with blue and red crystals and purple mushrooms. The cove sits at GPS coordinates 1364, -612, 2472.
Two things to handle right away. Talk to the Inn Keeper NPC behind the wooden counter to set your spawn point here, so you don’t have to redo the whole route. When you want to leave, use the Magic Mirror behind that NPC to teleport back to Moosewood.

Fishing rules inside Crystal Cove
There is one hard rule that will end your run instantly. Touching the large pond of water in the middle of the cove kills your character on contact. The only safe place to fish is the small wooden bridge at the back of the cave, next to the waterfall. You cannot hook anything anywhere else in the cove.
Cross the floating platforms carefully to reach that bridge, then cast into the water from there. Fish that appear in The Depths can also be caught here.
Fish you can catch in Crystal Cove
Eleven fish are available from the wooden bridge. The conditions below raise your chances but are not strict requirements.
| Fish | Preferred conditions | Bait | Avg. value (C$) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Destroyed Fossil | Day | — | 21.4 |
| Scrap Metal | Day | — | 24 |
| Depth Octopus | Day | Coral | 154.7 |
| Frilled Shark | Night | Fish Head | 155.3 |
| Luminescent Minnow | Night, Spring | Seaweed | 131.3 |
| Three-eyed Fish | Night | Seaweed | 143.3 |
| Opalescent Catfish | Clear, Winter/Spring | Insect | 219.5 |
| Pufferflute | Clear, Day, Autumn | Flakes | 219.5 |
| Crystal Frilled Shark | Rain, Night, Summer | Shrimp | 925 |
| Stringed Grouper | Rain, Day, Summer | Shrimp | 925 |
| DJ Spinopus | Clear, Night, Summer/Spring | Snare | 1,562.5 |
Completing the Crystal Cove bestiary, which tracks 8 of these fish, rewards a Bloxy Cola Bobber, 30,000 C$, and 50,000 XP.

Opening the Underground Music Venue from the cove
Crystal Cove also hides the entrance to the Underground Music Venue. To open it, place a Chaotic Enchant Relic on the ritual pedestal in the center of the cove. Doing so unlocks a trapdoor inside the shelter at the back near 1350, -604, 2329, which drops you into the venue.
You get a Chaotic Enchant Relic by adding the Chaotic enchantment to a rod and fishing one up, which carries roughly an 8% catch chance once the enchantment is active. This step is entirely optional if you only came to fish and farm the bestiary.
Once your spawn is set at the Inn Keeper, returning is instant, so the long whirlpool-to-Depths route is a one-time effort. Keep to the back bridge, avoid the central pond, and Crystal Cove becomes one of the steadier XP and money spots in the First Sea.
