Vodyanitsa is the Prima Soprano of the Korolevskiy Troupe, one of the Snezhnaya faces Travelers meet during the Version 7.0 story. She is not part of the first wave of playable characters that arrives with 7.0, but early kit crumbs have started painting a picture of how she plays, and it points to a flexible Hydro support built around buffs rather than damage.
Quick answer: Vodyanitsa is a leaked five-star Hydro support expected in Version 7.1. Her early kit centers on Anemo resistance shred, a Shenhe-style quill buff for both Stellar Swirl and Cryo-Hydro teams, and an Elemental Burst that only heals. Treat every number below as unconfirmed beta data that can change.

Vodyanitsa’s leaked role and element
Vodyanitsa carries a Hydro Vision, which is visible on her back in the Snezhnaya trailer, so her element is settled. What is less obvious is her job. Rather than sitting in one narrow team, she is described as a support who can prop up two very different archetypes at once, and the two functions reportedly do not fight each other.
That means she is being built to feed Stellar Swirl teams and Cryo-Hydro (freeze) teams, including compositions around Skirk. A Hydro unit boosting Stellar Swirl is the surprising part, since that reaction normally involves Anemo and Cryo. Her value there seems to come from resistance shred and a quill-style team buff rather than from triggering the reaction herself.
What Vodyanitsa’s kit reportedly does at C0
The base kit leans on three pieces. First, an Anemo resistance reduction that helps swirl and anemo damage land harder. Second, a quill buff similar in concept to Shenhe’s, where each individual quill is weaker than Shenhe’s but she is expected to generate far more of them, so the total value may end up close. Third, an Elemental Burst that provides pure healing with no extra offensive utility bolted on.
The quill buff is said to be stronger inside Stellar Swirl teams than in Cryo-Hydro teams. Both the quill effect and the resistance shred appear tied to her Elemental Skill, which is where most of her offensive support would live.
The Anemo RES shred numbers do not agree yet
This is the clearest point where early crumbs conflict, so it is worth flagging rather than picking a winner. One version of the leak trims her Anemo shred and drops the Cryo-Hydro figure entirely, while another lists a full spread across three elements.
| Effect | Version A | Version B |
|---|---|---|
| Anemo RES shred | 30% | 40% |
| Cryo / Hydro RES shred | Not specified | 25% |
| Quill buff | Works for Stellar Swirl and Cryo-Hydro | Not specified |
Because these figures come from different early reports, some numbers may belong to her base kit while others sit behind constellations or a signature weapon. Do not lock any of them in.
Constellation buffs: C1 and C6
Only two of her constellations have surfaced so far, with nothing yet known about C2 through C5. Both of the leaked ones lean into offense, and C1 in particular hints at an HP-stacking build.
| Constellation | Reported effect |
|---|---|
| C1 | Works like Columbina’s C2, converting a share of Max HP into ATK for the team (estimated around 1%). Suggests she wants HP artifacts. |
| C6 | Grants an upgrade to the Stellar Swirl reaction (exact change unknown) and provides up to roughly 50% Cryo/Hydro DMG Bonus. |
If C1 mirrors Columbina’s C2 exactly, Vodyanitsa would raise the team’s ATK by about 1% of her Max HP, which is why the leaks tie her toward stacking HP. The C6 “upgrade” to Stellar Swirl has no confirmed detail. It could be a multiplier boost or a change to how the reaction resolves.
Shielding versus Interruption Resistance
Some players expected Vodyanitsa to hand out a shield. The newer beta crumbs say otherwise. Instead of blocking incoming damage, her kit reportedly grants Interruption Resistance, which keeps the active character from being knocked out of their attack strings and long animations.
That is a meaningful distinction. Interruption Resistance does not stop damage the way a shield does, but it is one of the more valuable support tools for on-field carries who need uninterrupted combos, which fits an on-field Stellar Swirl damage dealer like Vesna.
Which teams Vodyanitsa fits
The through-line across every crumb is flexibility. Her off-field Hydro application, Anemo resistance shred, and buffs let her slot into more than one Snezhnaya composition without forcing you to rebuild around a single playstyle.
- Stellar Swirl teams built around Vesna, where her quill buff is strongest and the Anemo shred matters most.
- Cryo-Hydro and freeze teams, including Skirk, who scales with ATK and generally prefers freeze setups.
Vesna, meanwhile, is the Anemo Stellar Swirl main DPS she pairs with. Vesna reportedly stays on the field to build a special energy resource that unlocks an enhanced Elemental Skill, and can rise into the air and move around much like Chasca. That on-field carry role is exactly what Vodyanitsa’s off-field buffs and Interruption Resistance are meant to feed.
Release timing and banner order
Roadmap leaks place Vodyanitsa in Version 7.1 alongside Vesna as the two new five-stars after Odette and Alyosha in 7.0. That pairing is not locked, though. More recent crumbs caution that it is no longer certain both characters will headline the first phase together, since banner schedules often shift during beta testing.
No official release date or time for Version 7.1 has been confirmed by HoYoverse, and the banner lineup will only be finalized at the version’s Special Program. Until then, phase order, weapon types, and reruns should be treated as fluid.
Everything here is early beta data, and Vodyanitsa’s history is a good reminder to stay skeptical. She was once pegged as an Electro enabler in a different team entirely before shifting to Hydro and moving version windows. A clearer, more reliable read on her kit should arrive once the 7.1 beta begins and full skill data starts to appear.
