AION 2: How to Get Orichalcum Solvent and What It’s Used For

In AION 2, Orichalcum Solvent is a Common crafting component used only in the Orichalcum Ingot recipe. It cannot be gathered out in the world or made through crafting, leaving vendors as the sole source. The item is bound, so buying it keeps it on your account.

Where to buy Orichalcum Solvent

Four merchants stock the solvent, split evenly between the two live regions, and the main-menu Shop carries it as well. The price is the same everywhere.

Verteron hosts two of the shop markers and Altgard hosts the rest, so you never need to leave your home region to restock. The Shop entry under the main menu is the fastest option if you are already stocking up on other crafting materials.

You buy the solvent for 400 Kina, but it only sells back for 4 Kina, so buy exactly the amount each recipe calls for rather than stockpiling.

Orichalcum Solvent stats and storage

Rarity: Common, classed as a Blacksmithing material.
Required level: 15, usable by both Elyos and Asmodians.
Stack size: 10,000 per slot.
Trade: not tradable, bound on acquisition.
Storage: Character, Server, and Legion storage.
Sell price: 4 Kina.

Because it is bound and cannot go to the market or a personal trade, there is no shortcut from another player. The merchant price is the floor for the material, and Kina is the only cost.

What Orichalcum Solvent is used for

The solvent processes raw ore into Orichalcum Ingot, a tier 1 material that higher-level weapon and armor recipes rely on. You can run the craft through either Blacksmithing or Armorsmithing, and the quantities scale with your mastery level.

Each solvent pairs with two Orichalcum Ore at the base recipe. The craft succeeds 95.2% of the time, and when it works the finished Orichalcum Ingot drops straight into your inventory. Orichalcum Ingot itself has a required level of 15 and sells for 14 Kina.

Gathering Orichalcum Ore for the ingot

The solvent is only half the recipe. The other half is Orichalcum Ore, which you gather in the field with the Essence Extraction profession. Verteron holds 546 ore spots and Altgard holds 530, the two densest zones in the live game. Eastern Cantas Valley in Verteron is the most convenient stretch to farm because nodes cluster along the ridges and valley floor.

Open the Verteron map and drop pins on the Orichalcum nodes you want to hit. Planning a loop before you set out keeps you from backtracking across the valley.

Head to Eastern Cantas Valley, where ore sits both on raised rock ledges and down among the red ground cover and mushroom trees.

Walk up to an Orichalcum Ore deposit and press [F] to gather. The extraction meter runs a series of checks, each landing as a Success or Fail, and every pull also hands you side herbs like Targena.

Deploy your wings and glide to the next marked node. Flight is the quick way between a cliff deposit and a valley-floor one without taking the long mountain path.

Drop onto the next node and gather again. Each successful pull raises your Essence Extraction proficiency, climbing through the Novice ranks as you go.

Keep running the loop until you have the ore you need. A short route like this carries proficiency up several ranks in one pass.

With both the solvent from a merchant and a stack of ore from the valley, the Orichalcum Ingot craft is a near-certain 95.2% success. Note that Eltnen and Morheim, which hold the other Orichalcum nodes, are not part of the global version as of October 2026, so Verteron and Altgard are your gathering grounds for now.
