In AION 2, Diamond Decoration is a Common crafting component produced by processing gemstones at a Handicrafting table. It does not spawn in the open world or appear in merchant stock. Crafting is the sole way to obtain one, using materials gathered from nodes and a reagent from a shop.
Quick answer: Craft Diamond Decoration at a Handicrafting table. At Proficiency Level 1, combine Diamond Gemstone x2 and Abrasive (Bound) x1 for a single piece. At Level 25, use Diamond Gemstone x20 and Abrasive (Bound) x10 to produce 10 at once.
Diamond Decoration crafting recipe
There are two recipes for the same item, unlocked at different Handicrafting proficiency levels. Both carry a base success rate of 95.2%, so nearly every attempt produces the result. The higher-level recipe simply scales the inputs and outputs up tenfold, which is faster if you are mass-crafting to level the profession.
| Proficiency level | Materials | Yield | Base success |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Diamond Gemstone x2, Abrasive (Bound) x1 | 1 | 95.2% |
| Level 25 | Diamond Gemstone x20, Abrasive (Bound) x10 | 10 | 95.2% |
Handicrafting is open to both Elyos and Asmodians, with crafting tables in Verteron and Altgard. Abrasive is a shop reagent, so the bottleneck is gathering enough Diamond Gemstone, which is covered below.

Diamond Gemstone is harvested from Gem nodes using the Essence Extraction gathering skill. The nodes require only gathering mastery level 1 and are Novice grade, but they tend to sit on high coastal cliffs and narrow ledges rather than open ground, so reaching them is the real challenge. A pair of Wings for gliding makes the farm far smoother. Diamond Gemstone cannot be traded publicly or personally, so you have to gather it yourself.

Each node can be extracted three times before it disappears, and nodes respawn roughly every 35 to 40 seconds. A single node can yield standard Diamond Gemstone along with the higher-quality Fine and Pure versions, though only the standard Common Diamond Gemstone is needed for the Diamond Decoration recipe.
| Faction | Region | Node areas |
|---|---|---|
| Elyos | Verteron | Eliun River Marsh, Drana Plantation, Forest of Exiles |
| Asmodian | Altgard | Fafnite Deposit, Uruthumheim, Nameless Cemetery |
The densest clusters are Eliun River Marsh in Verteron and Nameless Cemetery in Altgard. In the Marsh, veins concentrate on the northern shore near the Marsh Legion Camp and the Collapsed Verteron Barrier Kibelisk, with a tight loop of five to seven nodes just past the camp. The Nameless Cemetery nodes sit away from aggressive enemies and stay easy to reach even without top-tier Wings.
How to harvest Diamond nodes

Repeat the loop across the cluster until you have enough standard Diamond Gemstone for your target recipe. The route resets as nodes respawn behind you.

What Diamond Decoration is used for
Diamond Decoration feeds back into Handicrafting as a component for accessories. It is used to craft Diamond Earrings, a Common item-level 16 accessory that requires character level 16 to equip. The earring recipe unlocks at Handicrafting Proficiency Level 5 and combines Diamond Decoration x1, Refining Stone x3 and Odyle x1, with a 74% base success rate and a 25% combo chance.
Diamond Earrings carry 20 Attack and 47 Defense as main stats, with one manastone slot and a maximum enchant of +5. If you are early into Jewelcrafting, this is a straightforward way to turn gathered gems into usable gear while building proficiency.
Item details, trade and storage
Diamond Decoration is a tier 1 Misc material. It requires level 15, sells to a vendor for 14 Kina, and stacks up to 10,000. The standard version can be traded freely, including through public and personal trade, and stored in character, server and legion storage. A separate Diamond Decoration (Bound) version exists with identical stats but cannot be traded.
- Grade: Common
- Required level: 15
- Sell price: 14 Kina
- Stack size: 10,000
- Trade: tradable (standard) / bound (Bound version)
You will know the craft succeeded when Diamond Decoration appears in your inventory after the crafting bar completes. With a 95.2% base success rate, nearly every attempt will deliver, and the Level 25 recipe drops 10 into your bags at once for efficient stockpiling.
