Fisch: How to Get the Great Dream Waker Harpoon Gun

Unlock this Leviathan-focused harpoon on Cursed Isle by clearing the Bestiary gate and paying the full price.

Unlock this Leviathan-focused harpoon on Cursed Isle by clearing the Bestiary gate and paying the full price.

The Great Dream Waker is a ranged harpoon gun added to Fisch in the Harpoon Guns update, and it sits behind two hard requirements that stop most players cold. You cannot simply sail up and grab it. The island it lives on has to physically appear, and your creature log for that island has to be far enough along before the game will let you buy the weapon.

Quick answer: Reach Cursed Isle on a foggy night, complete 75% of the Cursed Isle Bestiary, then travel to the collapsed house at coordinates 1870, 136, 1284 and pay 1,500,000 C$ to claim the Great Dream Waker.

Great Dream Waker unlock requirements

Two of these are strict gates. If the island has not spawned or your Bestiary is under 75%, the purchase will not go through no matter how much currency you carry.

Reach Cursed Isle

Cursed Isle is a hidden island that only surfaces under the right conditions. It appears north of Snowcap Island and south-west of Earmark Island, and it stays hidden unless the weather and time are correct.

Sail out only during a Foggy Spring or Foggy Autumn night. In clear weather or the wrong season the island never emerges, so watch for the on-screen notice that the fog has lifted to reveal it before setting a course.
To avoid waiting in real time, drop multiple Sundial Totems in your server. They fast-forward the day and weather cycle, which forces the correct foggy-night window to come around much faster.

Note: Once the island name appears on the horizon as you sail, you can follow that marker straight to it.

Complete 75% of the Cursed Isle Bestiary

The Great Dream Waker will not appear for purchase until the Cursed Isle Bestiary reaches 75%. This is the island’s own log, not your overall Bestiary percentage, so progress in other regions does not count toward it. Catch at least 10 of each of the local creatures below to hit the mark.

Buy the Great Dream Waker on Cursed Isle

Once the Bestiary hits 75%, the harpoon physically appears on the island. There is no vendor NPC. You interact with the weapon itself to trigger the purchase prompt, which is why it is easy to walk right past it.

Head to the collapsed house at coordinates 1870, 136, 1284. The Great Dream Waker rests on top of the broken structure among scattered wooden boards, so look up rather than treating the building as background scenery.
Walk up to the weapon and interact with it. When the prompt appears, spend 1,500,000 C$ to complete the purchase, then equip it from your inventory.

You will know it worked when the buy prompt clears and the harpoon can be equipped and fired. If the prompt refuses to complete, you are short on one of the two gates. Either the Cursed Isle Bestiary is still under 75% or you do not have the full 1,500,000 C$ on hand.

Great Dream Waker stats and Leviathan focus

This is a heavy harpoon built around one clear specialty. Its Hunt Focus targets Leviathans, which is what defines it as a Leviathan-hunting tool first and a general fishing harpoon second. The negative resilience is the trade-off for that power.

Common reasons players miss it

The most frequent mistake is sailing out in the wrong conditions. In clear weather or the wrong season, Cursed Isle simply never appears, so you can circle the map endlessly and find nothing. Wait for a foggy night or use Sundial Totems to force the cycle forward.

Outdated location info is the other trap. Some early write-ups placed this harpoon in Poseidon’s Armory, but it lives on Cursed Isle. Even standing directly in front of it, you still cannot claim it without both the 75% Cursed Isle Bestiary and the full 1,500,000 C$ ready to spend.
