2D Tuesday is a weekly event in Adopt Me, running alongside the Halloween 2026 event. It hands every player a flat, sketch-style cat for the day and asks you to look after it.
Updated after the 12:30pm IST slot on 27 October: we played the whole hour, reached 10/20 needs, and the slot ended before we earned the box. What each need pays, which needs are free and how long a slot lasts are below. The 2D Box itself is still not seen.
Quick answer: At each 2D Tuesday time slot, every player gets a free Temporary 2D Kitty with 2x Bucks and XP. Complete 20 Needs on it, tracked on the TASK BOARD, to earn a free 2D Box. Each need paid us +200 Candy Corn and $24 Bucks, and our slot lasted about an hour, so 20 needs is tight.
2D Tuesday times for 27 October 2026
The event runs at three times on the day, and you pick one. The game lists the slots in Pacific time. US clocks are still on Pacific Daylight Time this week, and they change on 1 November.
| Pacific | Eastern (ET) | India (IST) | UK |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12:00am Tue | 3:00am Tue | 12:30pm Tue | 7:00am Tue |
| 8:00am Tue | 11:00am Tue | 8:30pm Tue | 3:00pm Tue |
| 4:00pm Tue | 7:00pm Tue | 4:30am Wed | 11:00pm Tue |
The 12:00am Pacific slot has already started today, right on time at 12:30pm in India. The 8:00am and 4:00pm Pacific slots follow later the same day. If you’re in India, the last one falls in the early hours of Wednesday, which is why the in-game card shows it as “Wed, Oct 28 at 4:30 AM”.
The card also lists local times in brackets: 5pm South Korea, 4pm UK, and 8pm Eastern USA. This week each of those is one hour later than the real start. Go by the Pacific times.
Before a slot begins, the top left of the screen shows a countdown under “2D TUESDAY IN:”. It also appears on the title screen. When a slot starts, the timer resets and counts down to the next one. After the 12:00am Pacific start, for example, it showed about eight hours until the 8:00am Pacific slot.

Find the big golden bell on the spawn plaza. Next to it is a blue hand icon, and tapping it opens the Roblox “Join Event” card titled “ADOPT ME 2D TUESDAY!”. The card shows the three Pacific times and a “Notify Me” button. It also sums up the rules in one line:
“Complete 20 Needs on the 2D Kitty to get a free 2D Box. Opening it gives a chance at a variety of rewards, including a 2D Kitty that’s yours to keep!”

You only need to attend one slot each week. The card explains: “It will show up for everyone logged in at that time, but once you get your box it won’t show up again until the next week so you can pick the time that suits you!” So, going by the card, it is one 2D Box per player each week, and if you miss today, the card says it will be back next week.

The Temporary 2D Kitty
No initial claim is needed. When a slot starts, a 2D Kitty appears and follows you right away. This black-and-white sketch is so narrow that it looks like a single line from the side. A message scrolls along the top and bottom edges of the screen: “2D Tuesday! Temporary 2D Kitty pet gains 2x Bucks and XP!”
- Name tag: 2D Kitty
- A 2x badge for the Bucks and XP boost
- Friend, with 1 heart
- A Temporary tag
- It begins with five need bubbles hovering above it.

The Temporary tag sets this pet apart from the 2D Kitty the card says you can get from the 2D Box. That second one is “yours to keep”.
How to earn the 2D Box

The card calls the 2D Box free, and the task’s reward panel says 20 Needs earns it. Since the card says the event won’t show up again once you get your box, it doesn’t matter which slot you join. Pick the time that suits you.
What each 2D Kitty need pays
Every need bubble over the 2D Kitty carries an orange Candy Corn badge marked “+200”. Each need we finished paid +200 Candy Corn and $24 Bucks: the done message ends in “(+24 Bucks)”, for example “2D Kitty is feeling loved! (+24 Bucks)”. Over 10 needs our Candy Corn went from 2,949 to 4,949. The walk tooltip read “Walk! Take your pet for a walk! $24 + 200 XP”. We did not check how much of the $24 is the 2x boost.
To open the kitty’s menu, walk next to it and press E, or click the kitty itself. A ring of its current needs appears around it, with BACK, TRICKS and PICK UP buttons. Click a need icon to see its options.

Which needs are free, and which cost Bucks
New needs kept popping up every few minutes, and some (sick, pizza party, salon, playground, beach) went away again before we did them. Those did not count. These are the ones we finished without spending anything:
Pet me: click the pet-me icon, then keep clicking or rubbing the kitty while a % circle fills. About 30 clicks, roughly 20 seconds, ends with “2D Kitty is feeling loved! (+24 Bucks)”. We did it three times.
Walk: the card says “Walk or carry your pet to finish this need.” Press PICK UP and walk around for 30 to 40 seconds until “2D Kitty enjoyed the walk! (+24 Bucks)”. We did it twice.
Hungry: pick Choose Item and give food you already own. We had a Sandwich with “Uses Left: 3”, and each use fed the kitty once (“2D Kitty is full! (+24 Bucks)”). “Go to the Nearest Food Bowl” outdoors sent the kitty off, and we never reached a bowl.

Play: the bone icon opens the Toys tab of your bag. With a rope toy equipped, click the ground to throw it; the kitty fetches, and three or four throws finished the need.
Sleepy: “Go to the Nearest Crib”. The starter house has a crib in a purple bedroom; the kitty lay down there and the need counted.
These we could not finish without buying something, or gave up on:
- Thirsty: “3X BONUS! Go to Oolong Bubble Tea”, “Go to the Nearest Water Bowl” or “Choose Item”. With no drink in the bag the game says “You do not have the requested items.” and “Get a Drink at the Supermarket”.
- Dirty: “Go to the Nearest Bath” or “Choose Item” (which pointed to “Go to the Salon”). Our kitty walked to the bathroom door and sat there; it never finished.
- “Go to the Nearest…” and place needs (car ride, camping, beach, playground and the like): the kitty draws a trail of light-blue paw prints and says “Your 2D Kitty wants you to follow them!”. In our run these took too long or did not finish.
How to finish 20 needs in one slot
We finished 10 needs in the hour we played (12:36pm to 1:33pm IST), about 5 to 6 minutes each on average, counting a game restart, a slow trip home and needs that never finished. Twenty in one hour means about 3 minutes a need, so this is what we would do next time:
- Be on the spawn plaza before the slot starts, with nothing else to do.
- Do pet me, walk (PICK UP) and play with a toy whenever they show up. They are quick and free.
- Have food in your bag before you start, so hungry is one click.
- Skip drink needs unless you already own a drink, and skip the “Go to the Nearest…” and place needs.
- If you are already at home, the crib handles sleepy.
- Avoid rejoining or travelling during the hour; each trip costs minutes.
How long a 2D Tuesday slot lasts
The 12:30pm IST slot lasted about an hour. Our kitty was still following us at 1:32pm; after we rejoined at 1:33pm the 2D Kitty was gone from the backpack and the TASK BOARD no longer had the 2D Tuesday tab, only the daily and Halloween tabs. We did not see the exact minute it ended.

Our 10/20 did not give a box, and nothing replaced the tab. The “2D TUESDAY IN:” countdown kept running to the next slot.
What is in the 2D Box?
We have not opened a 2D Box yet, so we can’t list its contents or odds. The only description so far is the card’s: opening it “gives a chance at a variety of rewards, including a 2D Kitty that’s yours to keep”. Our 12:30pm IST slot ended at 10/20, so we did not get one. The next chances on this Tuesday are about 8:30pm IST (8:00am Pacific) and about 4:30am IST on Wednesday (4:00pm Pacific); we will add what the box gives after one of them. For the rest of this season’s pets, see every Halloween 2026 pet in Adopt Me.
