Hauntlet 2 is the reworked version of the Hauntlet minigame, now run by a new bellhop named Bolt in place of Patchy. The route to the exit is shorter than before, but the doors behave differently, and some of the items you relied on last year no longer work the way you remember. Reaching Room 50 and escaping comes down to reading each room correctly and spending your items at the right moment.

Quick answer: Hauntlet 2 runs for 50 rooms, not 100. Clear each room by picking a door with no ghost behind it, use the Rainbow Wand or Key to open safe paths, and ignore the Phone’s arrow because Bolt always lies. Escaping once awards the Escaped Hauntlet, Too Sticker.

What changed in Hauntlet 2

Bolt renovated the hotel and cut the length in half. You now progress through 50 rooms instead of the 100 in the original Hauntlet, and six new room types have been added along the way. Keep playing to unlock more of the Journal, which fills in details on the new doors and areas as you discover them.

Items now affect everyone in a room, not only their user. If a player activates a Phone, Rainbow Wand, or Key, the outcome appears to all occupants, letting teammates exchange clues and choose doors as a group. At some points, you must select the next area. Follow your friends’ route to remain in one group; choosing differently divides the party.

Hauntlet 2 items and what they do

You pick up items by walking through doors, and playing solo or on a private server hands you a free starting set to work with. Knowing exactly what each one does decides whether you reach Room 50 with hearts to spare.

The Phone is a trick item this year. Bolt always lies on it, so treat the door it highlights as the one not to enter.

The six new room types

Each special floor carries its own risk and reward. Recognizing them on sight tells you when to spend an item and when to hold back.

Bounce House

The Bounce House holds a Golden Key that opens the Golden Door, which hands you a Heart Potion. It also has launcher doorways that fling you into a random room, so use them when you want to skip ahead rather than pick carefully.

Mystery Room (???)

The Mystery Room, marked with “???”, gives you a Rainbow Wand that banishes every ghost in the room. With all ghosts gone, every door becomes safe to walk through, so this is the one place you can move without second-guessing a pick.

Electric Room

The Electric Room has electrified floors glowing with blue lightning in front of spiked doors. Walking across one shocks you and costs one heart before you even reach the door, though the rewards behind these doors tend to be larger.

Spider Web Room

Cobwebbed doorways in the Spider Web Room steal a random item from your inventory as you pass through. Spend anything you would rather not lose before you commit to one of these doors.

Nightmare and Security Rooms

The Nightmare Room sets harder door conditions in exchange for greater rewards. The Security Room needs two keys to open its doors and pays out high-value rewards for the extra cost.

How to reach Room 50 and escape

Clearing all 50 rooms is about conserving hearts, not rushing. Ghosts are sparse in the early rooms and stack up later, with multiple ghosts per room near the end, so save your healing and clearing items for the final stretch.

Pause for a few seconds at the start of every room. If a teammate uses a Phone, Rainbow Wand, or Key, the result shows for the whole group, which tells you which door is safe before you move.
Use a Key on locked doors to take the safer, richer path, and save a Golden Key for its matching Golden Door to collect the Heart Potion inside.
Keep your hearts topped up as ghost counts climb. Refill with a Heart Potion when you drop low, and hold a Ghost Potion for a door you have to take blind, since it blocks damage for that single door.
At a fork, head to your friends’ chosen area so the group remains intact. If you separate, fewer item discoveries are shared, making subsequent rooms more difficult to interpret.

You know the run worked when you clear the final room and leave the hotel. Escaping Hauntlet 2 for the first time awards the Escaped Hauntlet, Too Sticker, a Legendary reward that confirms the full clear.
