AION 2: How to Craft the Splendent Wise and Ebony Dragon Lord Weapons

The professions, mastery levels, materials, 80.1% base success and combo chance behind both item-level 102 weapon sets.

In AION 2, the Splendent Wise Dragon Lord and Splendent Ebony Dragon Lord weapons are the highest-ranking crafted items in their category at item level 102. Both are Unique tier 4 weapons requiring character level 45, with four manastone slots, one theostone slot and a maximum enchantment of +15. Their stats match exactly; only their appearance differs, so choose between Wise and Ebony based on your preferred look and class.

Quick answer: You never select a Splendent weapon from a recipe. You craft the ordinary Wise or Ebony weapon of that type, which succeeds 80.1% of the time, and a 25% combo chance upgrades the result to the Splendent version mid-craft.

How the Splendent combo works

Before crafting the Wise or Ebony weapon, check the combo activation rate shown in the crafting panel. If the combo activates during progress, the weapon upgrades to Splendent and its name changes on the progress bar. Without an activation, the craft yields the regular weapon, and you can try again with another craft. The recipes give the combo a 25% chance.

The base craft itself lands at 80.1% across every weapon type, so a failed base craft and a combo that never procs are two separate outcomes you can hit on the same attempt.

Profession and mastery for each weapon

Which profession you need is determined by the weapon: Blacksmithing makes melee weapons, Jewelcrafting handles ranged weapons, and Alchemy produces caster off-hands. Guard requires one more mastery level than the other types.

Materials for the base craft

Since crafting the base weapon is what produces the Splendent result, use that base recipe’s material list. For Blacksmithing melee weapons—Greatsword, Longsword, Dagger and Mace—a successful craft consumes the direct components listed below.

MaterialQuantity
Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum (weapon)3
Artisan’s Ultimate Refining Stone15
Fine Durable Balaur Horn41
Wrathful Mind6
Wrathful Will11
Wrathful Ego21
Radiant Orichalcum Ore36
Radiant Odyle21

For the Jewelcrafting Bow, wood and scale take the place of ore and horn: Artisan’s Splendent Asvata Bow ×3, Enhanced Durable Balaur Scale ×41 and Radiant Asvata Log ×36, plus 15 Artisan’s Ultimate Refining Stone, 6 Wrathful Mind, 11 Wrathful Will, 21 Wrathful Ego and 21 Radiant Odyle. Counting all the way back to raw materials gathered or bought, one weapon requires 52 crafts.

The recipes and quantities shown are from the Korea and Taiwan client (v110), and the Global client does not include them. Materials and counts may therefore differ when the set reaches that client.

Where the materials come from

Wrathful materials drop from raids and dungeons; open-world activity is the main source for Radiant and refining materials. Blacksmithing also produces the Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum weapon component: it requires mastery 30 and has a base success rate of 79.6%.

Crafting the weapon step by step

Dismount before opening the menu, since crafting is unavailable while riding or on a mount.

Open the system menu, select Manage Crafting, and pick the profession tab that matches your weapon. Then choose the base Wise or Ebony recipe for the type you want.
Compare the owned and required amounts in each material row and make sure all requirements are met. Set the quantity, then select Craft. Before you commit, the panel displays the combo activation chance as well.

Keep an eye on the progress bar. A combo activation makes the label flash, then change to the Splendent weapon and show a Proc marker, indicating that the upgraded version is being crafted.

At 100% progress, a system chat line confirms acquisition of the Splendent weapon, which goes directly into your inventory. This confirms the upgrade succeeded instead of producing the standard base weapon.

Taking a hit during crafting cancels the process and consumes all materials used. Choose a safe place to craft.

Weapon stats and how they stand against the Ludra drops

On Max Attack, each weapon is the strongest option in its slot, matching both its corresponding Ludra raid drop and the other Splendent version. Each sells for 179,393 Kina and remains tradeable until it becomes soulbound.

Bow512Highest of 89Ludra’s Fatal Bow
Dagger473Highest of 83Ludra’s Claw
Mace473Highest of 83Ludra’s Fatal Mace

The Guard is rated by flat Attack, not Min and Max Attack. At 210 Attack, it matches Ludra’s Heart and the other Splendent Guard, and ranks highest among 83 Guard items. For these weapon types, the crafted sets offer another way to reach the Ludra drops’ ceiling rather than exceeding it.

Enchanting to +15

Every weapon follows the item-level 102 Unique enchant chart. Upgrades from +1 to +10 each have a 100% success rate, guaranteeing those first ten levels. Beginning at +11, success odds fall; each failure raises the chance by 5.0% on the next attempt at that level.

+1425%1,340,00013,360
+1520%1,860,00014,820

Enchanting raises Min and Max Attack in set jumps on the level-102 weapons: +55 each at +5, +114 each at +10, and +174 each at +15.

Amplifying past +15

Past max enchant, these weapons can be pushed further with amplifying, using Amplify Stone (Unique). The Greatsword, Longsword, Dagger, Mace, Bow, Staff, Orb and Spellbook all draw on the same amplify table below; the Guard amplifies on its own separate guarder table of the same shape.

StepSuccessKinaAmplify Stone (Unique)

+333%1,400,00012
+425%2,000,00015
+520%3,000,00020

When an amplify attempt fails, it raises the chance on the next attempt, though the increase gets smaller at higher levels: a failed +1 gives 5.0%, followed by 4.0%, 3.0%, 2.0% and 1.0%. Since producing a Splendent weapon also requires the 25% combo, pursuing high amplify levels takes a long-term supply of Kina and stones, not just one forge session.

The matching armor and accessory sets

The Wise and Ebony sets extend beyond weapons into armor and accessories, all item level 102, Unique grade, tier 4, requiring level 45, with four manastone slots and a maximum enchant of +15. Like the weapons, both versions are stat-identical and the base craft runs at 80.1%, with the Splendent piece procing while you make the matching base item.

The seven armor pieces are made with Tailoring. Each holds the highest Defense value in its slot, shared between the Wise and Ebony versions.

The Breastplate’s 756 Defense is the highest of 147 Top items. The Greaves lead 147 Legs items at 630, the Helm leads 145 Helm items at 567, and the Pauldrons lead 147 Pauldrons items at 567. Gloves and Boots each top their 147-item slots at 504, and the Cloak tops 145 Cloak items at 504. Enchanting adds the same amounts across all seven pieces: Defense and HP climb by +145 and +120 at +5, +295 and +240 at +10, and +445 and +360 at +15.

Jewelcrafting produces all three accessories. They provide both Attack and Defense, and the two sets have matching stats.

The Necklace leads 59 Necklace items at 378 Defense, the Earrings lead 60 Earrings items at 315, and the Ring leads 60 Ring items at 252. Enchanting adds the same amounts to every accessory: Attack and Defense rise by +26 and +70 at +5, +56 and +143 at +10, and +86 and +218 at +15. The armor and accessory pieces use the same item-level 102 enchant and amplify tables as the weapons, so the step costs and success chances match line for line.

Because the two sets have matching stats, the choice is about appearance: select the Wise or Ebony style that fits your character, then use the same crafting, enchanting and amplifying route to strengthen each piece.
