Daevanion Crystals are how AION 2 pays for the Daevanion Board. Each one turns into a single point you can spend on a node, and that progression is permanent. Most characters collect a steady stream of crystals while leveling. Many never touch the two vendors that hold another 100.
Quick answer: Clear every sealed dungeon for 2 crystals each and do regional quests for 1 each. Then buy out the 50-crystal stocks in the Shugo Festival Shop and the Nightmare Trade Shop.
What a Daevanion Crystal does
Using a Daevanion Crystal adds 1 Daevanion Point. You spend those points to activate nodes on the Daevanion Board, and every point you commit raises your Gear Score by 1. The gain is flat and it doesn’t expire, so a crystal you haven’t claimed yet is Gear Score you’re leaving behind.
| Property | Daevanion Crystal |
|---|---|
| Effect | +1 Daevanion Point |
| Grade | Common |
| Item type | Currency |
| Required level | 1 |
| Trade | Cannot be traded |
| Character Storage | Yes |
| Server Storage | No |
Each crystal belongs to the character who earns or purchases it. Trading and server storage can’t transfer one to an alternate character, so make purchases on the character you play.

Add to Google Preferences →How many Daevanion points you can collect
Points are tight. The four standard boards on Global (Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel and Triniel) cost 570 points to fill completely. The usual sources come up well short of that number.
| Source | Approximate points |
|---|---|
| Leveling to 45 | 136 |
| Sealed Dungeons | 122 |
| Regional quests | 58 |
| Shugo Festival Shop | 50 |
| Nightmare Trade Shop | 50 |
| Total | About 416 |
That covers roughly 73 percent of the four boards. The exact total for a given character depends on which activities it has finished. Node costs follow the node color.
- Gray: 1 point, basic stats such as HP, MP, Attack or Defense
- Green: The node’s named passive gains one level for 2 points.
- Blue: Spend 3 points to gain one level in the active skill identified by the node.
- Orange: 4 points, large percentage bonuses near the board’s corners
Refund Nodes gives your points back, but each refunded node costs 500 Kina, and a long path gets expensive fast.
Sealed Dungeons: 2 Daevanion Crystals per first clear
Sealed Dungeons pay out the most crystals while you level. Each faction has 61 eligible dungeons, and every first-time completion gives you two Daevanion Crystal (Bound). Clearing the same dungeon again won’t give you more, so the goal is to work through the ones you haven’t finished. On the map, open Exploration > Sealed Dungeons to see what’s left. Undiscovered spots show up as question marks. Once found, sealed dungeons use a circular icon, while Strongholds get a base-shaped marker.
The early Elyos dungeons in Verteron all share the same clear rewards: 15,000 Kina, 2 Daevanion Crystal (Bound), 2 Wisdom Stone (Bound), 1,250 Enhance Stones, 2 Sealed Wing Featherdown (Bound), 2 Statue Scrap: Day Illusion Wings (Bound), and a title.
| Sealed Dungeon | Recommended level | Title reward |
|---|---|---|
| Poacher’s Den | 10 | Tackle! |
| Mysterious Mushroom Cave | 10 | Uncrushable |
| Spirit Flower Cave | 15 | |
| Cursed Hideout | 15 | I’ll Take You All On |
Poacher’s Den ends with the Poacher Captain, a level 10 boss.
Regional quests that reward Daevanion Crystals
Press J to open the Journal and select the Regional tab. A typical regional quest awards a Wisdom Stone plus one Daevanion Crystal; a chain with several parts awards two. Only a few regional quests omit the crystal. Complete these as they appear during leveling and your point total grows naturally.
Both Spacetime Rift quests come from Mino and send you through a rift into Altgard. Each unlocks at level 45 and ends back in Verteron, where you turn it in to Mino.
| Detail | Spacetime Rift | Spacetime Rift: Perfect Tool |
|---|---|---|
| Faction | Elyos and Asmodian | Elyos |
| Start | Mino, Abandoned Legion Outpost | Mino, Beast Hunter Campsite |
| Objective | Activate the rift, defeat 7 Withered Armadon | Defeat 10 Escaped Mumu Worker |
| 1 | 1 | |
| Kina (Bound) | 21,000 | 57,000 |
| 2,000 | 2,000 | |
| EXP | 97,797 | 961,303 |
Both quests also give a Wisdom Stone (Bound). Spacetime Rift adds the Altgard Traveler title and a Facade Ring. Perfect Tool adds the Secret Stash title, a Kisk Summoning Stone: Legion (Bound) and Drifter Earrings. When you hand over the scythes for Perfect Tool, Mino is pleased: “They look much more usable than I thought, nyerk!”
How to buy 50 Daevanion Crystals in the Shugo Festival Shop
The Festival Shop sells up to 50 Daevanion Crystal (Bound) per character for Centuryroot Tokens. The crystals come in four linked tiers, and the price goes up with each tier.
| Tier | Crystals | Tokens each | Tier cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10 | 50 | 500 |
| 2 | 10 | 100 | 1,000 |
| 3 | 15 | 200 | 3,000 |
| 4 | 15 | 400 | 6,000 |
The complete set of 50 is priced at 10,500 Centuryroot Tokens. Shugo Festival Reward Keys are required for mini-game tries. You receive 3 each day, with the total refreshing at 16:00 server time. The key limit is 12, or 21 for members. Spend keys before reaching the limit to avoid losing free attempts.
The 50 crystals are a one-time stock. The shop doesn’t restock them once you buy them all.
How to buy 50 Daevanion Crystals in the Nightmare Trade Shop
The second set of 50 is in Nightmare. You pay with Phantasmal Fragments, which come from Nightmare boss clears.
The tier 1 boss challenges are a good place to start. Gatekeeper Pinopi in the Root Cellar and Furious Feruk in Dranactus Underkeep each have 10 stages. Recommended combat power starts at 1,000 and climbs to 1,600 by the last stage. Mutated Gerod, Fafnir’s Poison Blood and Wraith Giselle also give fragments.
Daevanion Crystal Fragments and Substance Morph
Daevanion Crystal Fragment (Bound) is a Common misc item that stacks to 1,000. It does nothing by itself. Run your fragments through Substance Morph and they turn into a Daevanion Crystal. The board-specific crystals work the same way. Fragment: Ariel’s Trace, Fragment: Azphel’s Trace, Fragment: Marchutan’s Trace and Fragment: Yustiel’s Trace each morph into the matching named crystal. None of the fragments can be traded. The unbound Fragment: Azphel’s Trace sells to vendors for 100 Kina.

Board-specific crystals: Ariel, Azphel, Marchutan and Yustiel
Certain crystals award a point to one specified board and have no other effect. All bound variants are Special grade, have a level 45 requirement, stack up to 1,000, and are untradeable.
| Crystal | Grants | Sources | Shop price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Ariel point | Shop, battle pass | 800 Phantasmal Fragment | |
| 1 Azphel point | Shop, coin shop, monolith | 10,000 Abyss Points | |
| 1 Marchutan point | Battle pass | None | |
| 1 Yustiel point | None listed | None |
Ariel and Azphel also come in unbound versions with the same effect. They’re Special grade, require level 45, and sell for 1,000 Kina each, but they still can’t be traded.
Azphel is the PvP board, available from level 45. Its points are separate: regular Daevanion Crystals don’t contribute to it, and using Azphel points leaves your other boards untouched. Azphel crystals come from entering the Abyss, exchanging feathers at the Abyss Monolith, and purchasing them with Abyss Points in the Abyss Shop. Some Azphel nodes, including HP and MP bonuses, also provide benefits beyond PvP.

Using Daevanion Crystals and confirming the Gear Score gain
Crystals show up in your inventory as items. Select the stack, choose how many to use, and press Use to add the points to Daevanion. The item’s Source list also shows which activities award it. Open the Daevanion menu from the main menu, or press U on PC, then spend the points on connected nodes starting from the center of a board.
Your Gear Score goes up by exactly the number of points you spend. If you buy out both shops and spend all 100 crystals, that’s +100 Gear Score. When you’re done, the Festival Shop entry shows every tier fully purchased, and the Nightmare Trade Shop entry reads 50/50 with a Sold Out label. After that, the remaining sealed dungeons and regional quests are where your next crystals come from.
