Aion 2 PvE Tier List: Every Class Ranked by Leaderboard Data

Aion 2 has eight classes, and on paper they all look viable. In practice, the top of the endgame PvE leaderboards is not evenly split. Some classes show up again and again in high-clear parties because their damage stays online through mechanics, while others depend on setup that boss fights rarely allow. The ranking below sorts all eight by how they actually perform in group and solo PvE content.

Quick answer: Ranger and Gladiator are the strongest PvE picks right now; Chanter, Templar, and Cleric are the reliable A-tier group anchors; Assassin sits at B, Sorcerer at C, and Spiritmaster is the weakest performer in current PvE.

How this Aion 2 PvE ranking was built

The placements come from live-server results in Korea and Taiwan rather than theory. Four PvE categories were counted separately: Nightmare, Awakening, Transcendence, and Subjugation. Taking the top 100 players in each category gives an 800-slot sample, and the share of those slots each class holds is the backbone of the tier order.

Raw representation is not the whole story, so three qualitative factors adjust the order: how much of a fight a class can spend attacking, what it gives the rest of the party, and how well it survives mechanics without outside help. A class that posts big numbers on a training dummy but gets pushed off target by movement phases drops. This ranking reflects the Korean and Taiwan builds as of August 2026.

S-tier: Ranger and Gladiator

Ranger holds more high-leaderboard slots than any other class, and the reason is boring in the best way. It deals physical damage from range, it moves well, and almost nothing in a boss fight forces it to stop attacking. Damage uptime is the single most valuable trait in Aion 2’s endgame PvE, and Ranger keeps it higher than anyone else.

Gladiator is the melee answer to the same problem. It puts out sustained damage instead of one big burst window, applies stagger pressure that helps control fights, and carries enough durability to stand in places other damage dealers cannot. That mix means it rarely has a bad encounter, which is why it sits just behind Ranger in representation.

Note: neither class needs a specific party composition to work. If you want a main that performs in solo content and group content without waiting on teammates, these two are the safest picks.

A-tier: The classes that hold a group together

Chanter, Templar, and Cleric land within a few leaderboard slots of each other, and they earn their spots the same way — by making everyone else’s run smoother rather than topping a damage chart.

Chanter is the offensive support of the roster. Its buffs raise what the rest of the party can do, it brings useful utility, and it covers a secondary layer of recovery when the healer is busy. In a group already running solid damage dealers, a Chanter often adds more total output than swapping in another DPS would.

Templar is the dedicated tank and the only class built around holding aggro properly. It controls where the boss faces, keeps mechanics predictable for everyone behind it, and soaks damage that would end a run outright. Personal damage is low, which is what keeps it out of S-tier, but organized content still expects one.

Cleric is the premier healer, full stop. Strong recovery, cleansing, and stabilization tools mean a good one turns near-wipes into clears. Its ceiling is capped by the same trade-off as Templar — the damage simply is not there — but demand for the role stays high across all four PvE categories.

B and C tier: Assassin and Sorcerer

Assassin has one of the highest damage ceilings in the game and still lands in B-tier, because that ceiling is conditional. It needs clean execution and uninterrupted burst windows to hit its numbers, and it takes damage more easily than the melee class above it. Played well, it competes with S-tier output. Played at an average level, it is inconsistent — and leaderboards reward consistency.

Sorcerer runs into a structural problem. Its ranged magic damage and area coverage are genuinely strong, but the class wants to stand still and cast, and Aion 2’s harder encounters keep asking players to move. Every forced reposition costs a cast, and those losses stack up over a long fight. In encounters with stable phases it performs fine; in movement-heavy ones it falls behind.

D-tier: Why Spiritmaster is last

Spiritmaster occupies just 34 of the 800 tracked slots, far below every other class. Its damage comes from sustained pressure built on summon management, which means a large share of its output depends on keeping spirits alive and positioned correctly while also playing the fight yourself. That is a lot of overhead for a payoff that does not currently match what simpler classes produce.

It is not unplayable — the class clears content — but it asks the most and returns the least in the current PvE meta. If you pick it, pick it because the summoner playstyle appeals to you, not because you expect it to carry.

One caveat worth keeping in mind: this order is about PvE only. Class performance in duels and faction fights follows different rules, and a few of these placements shift noticeably once PvP enters the picture. Balance patches also move these numbers, and with the game set to release in September 2026, the roster will keep getting tuned. Ranger and Gladiator are the low-risk starting points if you want to be strong immediately, but any class here can clear the content with the right group and enough practice.
