For alchemy and handicrafting recipes, use Spiritstone, a Common AION 2 crafting material available starting at level 15. Hundreds of monsters throughout Altgard, Verteron, and Chaotic Lower Reshanta drop it. Since rates vary widely by target, your chosen grind spot determines how quickly a stack fills.
Quick answer: Farm the level 45 named Cogni that drop Spiritstone at 74.6% — two kills each give you a 90% chance at a stone. For bulk, the Reshanta abyssal mobs drop at 22.4% but spawn in packs of dozens.

Highest drop chance: the 74.6% named spawns
Seven level 45 unique monsters share the top Spiritstone chance at 74.6%. Each has a single spawn point, so you clear one, then rotate to the next or wait for the respawn. At this rate, two kills put you at a 90% chance of pulling a stone.
| Monster | Location | Chance | Kills for 90% |
|---|---|---|---|
| Altgard: Basfelt Ruins | 74.6% | 2 | |
| Altgard: Legion Base Ruins | 74.6% | 2 | |
| Altgard: Black Claw Village | 74.6% | 2 | |
| Phantasm Kasia | Verteron: Garden of the Illusion God | 74.6% | 2 |
| Verteron: Destroyed Temple Site | 74.6% | 2 | |
| Verteron: Contaminated Sanctum | 74.6% | 2 | |
| Verteron: Aullaeu Village | 74.6% | 2 |
Forest Warrior Aullamu is worth a special mention. Alongside its 74.6% Spiritstone chance, it also drops Balaur’s Essence at 60.7% and a Refining Stone at 38.9%, so a single kill often returns several useful materials at once.

If the top spawns are taken or on cooldown, a long list of level 45 uniques still drop Spiritstone at good rates. The chance steps down from 62.2% to 51.8% to 35%, and the kill count climbs with it.

Kusan the Mad Gladiator and Special Operations Leader Linx both hand out more than a stone per kill. Each drops Spiritstone at 62.2%, a Refining Stone at 25.9%, and their own gear set pieces, which makes them a solid stop while you are already in the area.

Bulk farming in Chaotic Middle Reshanta
Named uniques give the best per-kill odds, but they are single spawns with respawn timers. For volume, the abyssal mobs in Chaotic Middle Reshanta drop Spiritstone at 22.4% and appear in dense clusters, so you can chain kills without waiting. Roughly ten kills reach a 90% chance at a stone, and the spawn density makes up the difference.
| Monster | Area | Chance | Spawn points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Abyssal Ancient Revenant | Distorted Old Growth Forest, Corroded Heart | 22.4% | 60 |
| Abyssal Mutated Ancient Destroyer | Contaminated Marsh | 22.4% | 41 |
| Fragment Guardian Elite Duelist | Corroded Heart | 22.4% | 15 |
| Fragment Guardian Elite Shieldbearer | Corroded Heart | 22.4% | 10 |
The Abyssal Ancient Revenant is the pick here. With 60 spawn points across the Distorted Old Growth Forest and Corroded Heart, you rarely run short of targets, and it also drops Refining Stone at 23.3% on the side.
Other ways to get Spiritstone
Beyond monster kills, Spiritstone comes out of the Shulak Loot Bundle (Bound) at 14.8% per opening. It is tradable and stacks up to 10,000, so you can also buy it from the broker or move spare stones between your own characters through Character, Server, and Legion Storage. Merchants buy a single stone back for 9 Kina.
Turning Spiritstone into Spiritstone Powder
Spiritstone Powder is the processed form, made only through Alchemy. There is no monster that drops it, so you craft it from the stones you farmed. Both recipe tiers share the same 95.2% base success rate.
| Recipe | Needs | Makes | Base success |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alchemy mastery 5 | Spiritstone x1 | Powder x3 | 95.2% |
| Alchemy mastery 25 | Spiritstone x10 | Powder x30 | 95.2% |
Each stone converts into three units of powder, and the mastery 25 recipe simply batches ten stones into thirty powder in one craft. Powder is also Common, usable from level 15, tradable, and sells for 9 Kina.
What Spiritstone and its powder are used for
Raw Spiritstone goes into Magic Crystal, which you can make through Handicrafting or Alchemy at both Lv. 1 and Lv. 25, along with the Spiritstone Powder recipes themselves. You can also register stones for a Supply Request: handing in 5 Spiritstone returns 380 Abyss Points and 100 Enhance Stone.
Spiritstone Powder feeds a wider set of Alchemy recipes further up the tree. These include the mana and soul lines along with higher-tier consumables.
- Intermediate Manastone (Lv. 20) and Intermediate Soulstone (Lv. 25)
- Mana Potion (Lv. 40) and Novice Alchemist’s Scale (Lv. 50)
- Superior Manastone (Lv. 85) and Superior Soulstone (Lv. 90)
- Intermediate Abyssal Manastone (Lv. 85) and Intermediate Abyssal Soulstone (Lv. 90)
- Status Effect Resist Scroll (Lv. 95)
For a steady supply, keep to the 74.6% named spawns when they are up and rotate between Altgard and Verteron as timers reset. When you need stones in bulk to feed powder crafts, the Chaotic Middle Reshanta packs deliver the raw volume that single spawns cannot.
