In AION 2, the Urugugu Canyon: Weapon Selection Chest exists so you can get the right weapon for your class. Drops from Urugugu Canyon’s bosses can hand you an Aulamus weapon your class can’t use. The chest lets you convert that drop into one of eight Aulamus weapons of your choosing. You can’t buy, trade, or loot it directly. You make it yourself through Substance Morph.
Quick answer: Use Substance Morph with 1 Aulamus Greatsword, 2 Gear Change Voucher: Urugugu Canyon (Bound), and 1,500,000 Kina. Then open the chest and pick 1 of 8 Aulamus weapons.

Weapon Selection Chest recipe in Substance Morph
The Substance Morph recipe produces one chest and uses three inputs.
| Ingredient | Quantity | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Aulamus Greatsword | 1 | Urugugu Canyon boss drops |
| Gear Change Voucher: Urugugu Canyon (Bound) | 2 | Urugugu Canyon (Expedition, Conquest) |
| Kina | 1,500,000 | Standard currency |
The Gear Change Voucher is a Unique Substance Morph material, and the dungeon is the only place it comes from. Urugugu Canyon has an entrance in Verteron and an entrance in Altgard, so both factions run the same content. The vouchers are bound and stay in Character Storage. You have to collect them on the character that will do the morph.
The voucher is also used to make the Urugugu Canyon: Accessory Selection Chest (Bound). That recipe uses one voucher, while the weapon chest uses two, so decide where your vouchers go before you spend them.

The chest holds Divine Auldor’s aura and gives you exactly one Aulamus weapon. Nothing is random. You choose one weapon from this fixed list:
- Aulamus Greatsword
- Aulamus Longsword
- Aulamus Dagger
- Aulamus Bow
- Aulamus Spellbook
- Aulamus Orb
- Aulamus Mace
- Aulamus Staff
The chest itself is a Unique-grade reward chest that every class can use, with no duration or cooldown. It is bound to your character. You can keep it in Character Storage, but it can’t go into Server Storage and can’t be traded publicly or personally. It’s working once you open it, pick a weapon, and the chest disappears from your bag. The weapon you chose takes its place and is bound to you on arrival.

Aulamus weapon stats
All Aulamus weapons share the same base profile. Each is a Unique, tier 2 weapon at item level 70 that requires level 45. Each has 4 manastone slots, 1 theostone slot, and a max enchant of +15. The weapons sell for 40,000 Kina and bind when obtained.
| Weapon | Attack (Min–Max) | Critical Hit | Accuracy / Block |
|---|---|---|---|
| 215–431 | 150 | 50 / 0 | |
| 287–395 | 100 | 75 / 125 | |
| 278–350 | 100 | 100 / 0 | |
| 251–323 | 200 | 50 / 50 | |
| 251–323 | 50 | 100 / 50 |
Each weapon in that table has the 5th-highest Max Attack in its slot. The Dagger and Mace rank 5th of 83 in their slots. The Orb is also 5th of 83, and the Bow and Staff are 5th of 89. Enchanting adds the same flat bonus to Min and Max Attack on every Aulamus weapon. That’s +39 at +5, +79 at +10, and +119 at +15.

Aulamus weapons can roll random bonus stats from the same pool:
| Random stat | Range |
|---|---|
| Combat Speed | 9.72% to 11.25% |
| Damage Boost | 5.44% to 6.33% |
| Weapon Damage Boost | 7.2% to 8.35% |
| Might / Precision | 19 to 29 |
| Attack | 33 to 45 |
| Critical Hit | 51 to 66 |
| Critical / Back / Front Attack | 72 to 90 |
| Accuracy | 68 to 85 |
| Block | 41 to 54 |
| MP | 153 to 183 |
| HP | 308 to 361 |

Farming the Aulamus Greatsword in Urugugu Canyon
Aulamus weapons are rare boss drops, so the Greatsword you feed into the recipe is often the slowest ingredient to get. Urugugu Canyon is a party dungeon for 2–5 players with a 60-minute time limit. Exploration needs level 28 and item level 300. Conquest needs level 45 and item level 1,400.
| Boss | Version | Aulamus drop chance (per weapon) |
|---|---|---|
| Level 54 and 72 | 0.43% | |
| Level 54 and 72 | 0.22% | |
| Level 54 and 72 | 0.22% |
Divine Auldor, the final boss in Auldor’s Sanctum, has about double the per-weapon rate of the two earlier bosses. Eternal Ludra (level 75) also drops Aulamus weapons. If any boss drops the Aulamus weapon your class actually uses, you can skip the chest entirely. The recipe is only worth running when the drop is the wrong one.
