Vakron Sky Island is one of Aion 2’s floating-island expeditions, a chain of detached landmasses you cross by gliding, riding updrafts, and launching through windstreams between fights. The Conquest version is the harder tier of the same map, and a Templar tank run shows exactly how a party moves through it: binding checkpoints, clearing two warm-up bosses, unlocking a sealed barrier with four elements, and then taking down Boulder Lord Vakron under a timer.
Quick answer: Vakron Sky Island Conquest is a Level 45 Aion 2 expedition for 2–5 players. You clear Tiare and Island Warden Theon, activate all four elemental altars, then defeat Boulder Lord Vakron before his timer expires.
Vakron Sky Island requirements and party size
Vakron Sky Island runs in two flavors, Exploration and Conquest. Both open at Level 45 with an item level of 1,400, and both support 2 to 5 players. You enter through the Expedition menu, where Vakron Sky Island sits alongside other runs such as Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple, and Draupnir.
The main difference for Conquest is strictness at the barrier. On the final stretch, every one of the four elements must be collected and offered before the boss area opens, where easier settings can be more forgiving. A completed Conquest run in the footage finished in a clear time of 11:28 and unlocked the Speedrun I, Clear I, and Perfect achievements.

The run starts behind an electric barrier gate at the entrance cave. Once it drops, the party sprints across Sky Plains, passing trash mobs on a flower-lined path toward the first detached island where Tiare waits.

Movement between islands relies on sky currents rather than mounts. You glide off cliffs, catch green updraft columns, and ride windstreams that fling the party across long gaps toward the next sector. A gate between zones is blocked by an Odyle Stone Spirit mini-boss, which has to be killed to drop its barrier.

Scattered across the islands are Kibelisk pillars. Binding to one registers it as a respawn checkpoint and lets you teleport back to it, which matters after a death on a timed fight. Expect to bind at a Kibelisk near each boss arena, including one on Theon’s island just before the arena and the Vakron Sky Island Kibelisk right outside the final platform.

Boss mechanics in Vakron Sky Island
Thorn Root debuff (whole dungeon)
Everyone carries a permanent debuff for the entire run. Left alone, it builds to 3 stacks, which snares your character and ticks damage until death. You reset the stacks by passing near Fog Spiritstones placed throughout the islands. If a teammate gets snared, the rest of the party can free them by attacking the snare.
Tiare
Tiare sits on the first floating island, in Tiare’s Nest. The fight centers on poison. A voice line warns that she is calling on her poison plants, which is the cue for the danger phase to start.

When that line plays, she fills the arena with a green poison mist and throws purple poison at players. The area right next to Tiare is the safe spot, so the party moves in toward her and then shifts together in a single direction, keeping tight so the targeted purple poison never catches the group.

Island Warden Theon
The second boss lives on Theon’s island and has two things to track. He summons stones around the arena that petrify anyone they hit, and a petrified player is guaranteed to eat his follow-up arena-wide shockwave. When he slams the ground with a large circular telegraph, dodge the smaller circles first, then jump over the big shockwave.
He also gains an aura that lasts around 8 seconds and heals him from one damage type. A red aura means he heals from physical damage; a purple aura means he heals from magic damage. Stop your attacks of the matching type while the aura is up, or you feed him health.
Boulder Lord Vakron
The final boss stacks several mechanics on top of a kill timer shown below his health bar. When the whole arena glows red, he sends out four shockwaves in a row; jump the first three, then glide after the third to clear the final blast. His Lodestone Prison pulls the party to him and traps each player inside stones, and you break out by destroying the one lodestone glowing red before it deals heavy damage.
He can also lock onto a single player and snare them, dealing continuous damage until they die, which teammates clear by attacking the snared player, the same way the dungeon-wide Thorn Root works.
If the timer under Vakron’s health bar runs out before he dies, he pulls the whole party toward him and wipes the group, so the fight is a damage check as much as a mechanics check.
Elemental altars that open Vakron’s barrier
After both mini-bosses are down, a stone wall blocks the way to Vakron. To lift it, the party flies through a chasm and collects four floating elements, then deposits each one at its matching altar in the Spirit Altar cave.
- Activate the Wind Altar
- Activate the Fire Altar
- Activate the Water Altar
- Activate the Earth Altar
On Conquest, all four elements are required before the barrier falls. Once the stone wall collapses, you bind at the Vakron Sky Island Kibelisk and drop into the final arena.
Odyle Energy Cube rewards
Defeating Vakron ends the expedition and scatters green Odyle nodes across the arena floor, which you gather to raise Odyle extraction proficiency. Beating Tiare and Theon along the way adds their loot to the Odyle Energy Cube pool, so clearing both before the final boss widens what the cube can give you.

The Odyle Energy Cube is the payout container at the end. Opening it spends Odyle Energy and hands out gear, crafting materials, and guaranteed-reward progress. A single Conquest clear in the footage pulled an Earth Cloak, Titunium, Kalbung Spore, and a Soldier’s Soul Codex. The wider Exploration reward list also includes the Vakron armor set, the Unyielding and Earth and Vagabond gear lines, and the Vakron Guard, a Level 45 unique shield.
Templar tank stigma skills to bring
The Templar is the class carrying the party through this run as a dedicated tank. It wields a Longsword and shield, and its only party role is Tank, where the Gladiator splits its time between Tank and Dealer duty. Two stigma skills matter most for surviving the long fights and the Vakron timer, and both unlock at required level 22 for one stigma point each.
| Skill | Cooldown | Range | Damage (Lv 25) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 90s | Self | — | |
| 30s | 20m | 3,974 (+219% Attack) |
Second Skin is a flat survival cooldown. It raises your PvE damage tolerance by 30% and PvP damage tolerance by 15% for ten seconds, and it ignores cooldown-increase effects, so it stays reliable when boss mechanics try to slow you. As you rank it up, it layers in extra element tolerance, more block, a stronger Ironclad Defense, and higher damage tolerance at level 20.
Doom Shield is the offensive option: it charges an enemy no more than 20 meters away, with a 75% chance to leave them knocked down for three seconds. A successful hit activates Judgment and gives you a shield equal to 5% of your max HP for five seconds. Its specializations can refresh Annihilate when you land a hit, provide extra block, restore Doom Shield’s cooldown when you score a kill, or improve the knockdown odds. These effects help a tank hold a boss such as Theon or Vakron in place.
Taken together, the route, the three bosses, and the four-altar gate make Vakron Sky Island Conquest a run that rewards a tank who can hold aggro through the poison, aura, and petrification phases and still push enough damage to beat Vakron’s clock. Line up Second Skin and Doom Shield, keep the Thorn Root stacks reset at Fog Spiritstones, and the Odyle Energy Cube is waiting on the far island.
Vakron Sky Island boss drop rates and run limits
All three bosses are level 54, and the expedition has a 60-minute time limit. The Odyle Energy you spend on cubes caps at 560 held, or 840 with membership. In total, 75 items can drop from the island.
The two earlier bosses, listed in-game as Tiere and Thamon, share an identical drop table. Vakron drops only Unyielding gear and has the higher chance on every piece. All drops below are Epic.
| Item | Tiere | Thamon | Vakron |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wind Forest Ring | 5.7% | 5.7% | — |
| Unyielding Gloves | 4.3% | 4.3% | 9.6% |
| Unyielding Cloak | 4.3% | 4.3% | 9.6% |
| Unyielding Earrings | 4.3% | 4.3% | 9.6% |
| Unyielding Helm | 3.4% | 3.4% | 7.7% |
| Unyielding Pauldrons | 3.4% | 3.4% | 7.7% |
| Unyielding Boots | 3.4% | 3.4% | 7.7% |
| Unyielding Necklace | 3.4% | 3.4% | 7.7% |
| Unyielding Greaves | — | — | 6.4% |
The Wind Forest Ring comes only from the two earlier bosses, and Unyielding Greaves come only from Vakron. If you are chasing the ring, clear both warm-up bosses on every run.
