In AION 2, Wrathful Ego is a Unique crafting component and the highest-ranked of the three Wrathful materials; Wrathful Mind and Wrathful Will are the lower tiers. Wise, Ebony and Splendent Dragon Lord gear recipes use it. Crafting cannot produce Ego: it comes from bosses, reward cubes or the Season Shop, and low drop rates make your farming location important.
Quick answer: For a 10 percent chance at Wrathful Ego, defeat Eternal Ludra in the Abyssal Forge: Ludra raid. You can also farm on Conquest difficulty in the Fire Temple or Ferocious Horn Den. Both expeditions can be entered solo.
Wrathful Ego effects and item details
Wrathful Ego has no active use. It carries no duration or cooldown and serves only as a recipe component. Its in-game description identifies it as a Balaur’s wrathful ego made physical, explaining its role in Draconic gear.

Wrathful Ego is available from one raid and two expeditions; each successful roll awards one copy. The final column gives the number of kills or clears needed for a 90 percent chance of obtaining at least one.

Even Ludra’s 10 percent is slow going. Seven kills give you a 52.2 percent chance of at least one Wrathful Ego, and reaching 99 percent takes 44. None of these bosses spawn in the open world. You only find them inside their dungeons.
Abyssal Forge: Ludra raid
To enter Abyssal Forge: Ludra, queue through the Dungeon menu, since it has no entrance in the world. The raid requires exactly 10 players and gives the group 120 minutes, with just two revives allowed per run. Before reaching Eternal Ludra, your party must defeat three level 75 bosses.

Ludra rolls Wrathful Mind, Wrathful Will and Wrathful Ego separately, each at 10 percent. If your recipe calls for all three, the raid is the one place that covers them together. The same loot table also includes Bakarma Cloak, Bakarma Gloves, Berk Ring, Balaur’s Essence and Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique, Bound).
Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den
Both expeditions take one to five players and give you 60 minutes per run. Wrathful materials drop only on Conquest difficulty, never on Exploration. In the Fire Temple, Wrathful Ego comes from the reward cube. In Ferocious Horn Den, it comes from Ferocious Horn Nuakum, who enrages after five minutes, and at lower odds from Watchdog Kwapo and Necromancer Duanka.

From the Ancient Zumion Temple Site Kibelisk, the Fire Temple entrance is 176 meters away. Elyos players earn 4,000 Kina for activating that Kibelisk. Asmodians can use the Fire Temple entrance in Altgard. The temple’s Kromede’s Desire challenge is a tier 4 boss activity with 10 stages: the recommended combat power is 3,500 for Stage 1, rises by 50 at each subsequent stage, and reaches 3,950 at Stage 10.
Buying Wrathful Ego from the Season Shop or other players
The Season Shop offers Wrathful Ego (Bound) for 8,750 Oath Coin, with a limit of 10 per account through December 16, 2026. Its related materials have the same limits and availability: Wrathful Mind (Bound) costs 6,250 Oath Coin, while Wrathful Will costs 7,500.
Shop-bought copies function in recipes just like drops, but cannot be traded or placed in server storage. Dropped Wrathful Ego is unbound: you can sell it through public trade, transfer it in a personal trade, or send it between characters via server storage. Buying from other players is another option instead of farming it yourself.
To check which version you have, look at the name. Shop copies carry a “(Bound)” tag, and dropped copies do not.
What Wrathful Ego crafts: Dragon Lord gear
Wrathful Ego appears in recipes across Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Handicrafting and Armorsmithing. Wise Dragon Lord gear is for Elyos, while Ebony Dragon Lord gear is for Asmodians; their costs match. The base Wise and Ebony pieces require substantially more Ego than their Splendent upgrades.

Armor follows the same pattern. Ebony Dragon Lord armor costs 13 Wrathful Ego for the Breastplate, 11 for the Boots and 7 each for the Cloak and Gloves. Splendent Wise Dragon Lord armor costs 5 for the Breastplate, 4 each for the Greaves and Boots, and 3 each for the Helm, Pauldrons and Gloves.

Its recipe takes an Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum Greatsword, six Artisan’s Ultimate Refining Stones, 41 Fine Durable Balaur Horns, three Wrathful Mind, three Wrathful Will, 20 Wrathful Ego, 15 Radiant Orichalcum Ore and nine Radiant Odyle. It is tier 3 gear with a 25 percent combo chance, four manastone slots, one theostone slot and a +15 enchant cap. It binds when obtained and sells for 91,239 Kina.
Wise Dragon Lord Longsword follows the same recipe, using an Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum Longsword as its base; its defensive stats are 200 Block and 150 Accuracy. Wise Dragon Lord Dagger instead uses an Artisan’s Splendent Orichalcum Dagger and shifts its emphasis to 200 Critical Hit. Only the item level 102 Splendent versions and Ludra’s raid weapons rank above all three.

Both are tier 4 gear with an 80.1 percent base craft success rate, four manastone slots, one theostone slot and a +15 enchant cap. At +15 they gain 174 Min and Max Attack. They stay tradable until soulbound and sell for 179,393 Kina.
Splendent Ebony and Splendent Wise Dragon Lord Longswords share their top spot with Ludra’s Scale Sword and carry 200 Block, 150 Accuracy and 50 Critical Hit.
Splendent Ebony and Splendent Wise Dragon Lord Necklaces pair their Defense with 158 Attack and sell for 74,747 Kina. At +15 they gain 86 Attack and 218 Defense.

Farming Wrathful Will and Wrathful Mind for the same recipes
Because most Dragon Lord recipes call for two or more Wrathful materials, farming Ego usually means pursuing Mind and Will as well. All three are Unique grade, require level 40, stack to 10,000 and can be traded freely when dropped. Wrathful Mind sells for 2,500 Kina; Wrathful Will sells for 3,000.

For Will outside the raid, target the end bosses in Urugugu Canyon or Vakron Sky Island. Each expedition requires two to five players, and Wrathful materials drop only on Conquest. Enter Urugugu Canyon at Ellun River Midstream in Verteron; Asmodians also have an entrance in Altgard. Access Vakron Sky Island through the Dungeon menu. For Elyos, Wind Breeze Merchants HQ is the closest Kibelisk to the Urugugu entrance, 186 meters away, and activation costs 2,000 Kina.

Mind is far easier to obtain than Ego or Will. Draupnir: Bakarma’s Subspace allows one to five players; its level 45 Conquest bosses have a much higher Mind drop rate than the level 70 bosses, making a solo clear a quick way to build a supply. Conquest runs in Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, the Fire Temple, Vakron Sky Island and Ferocious Horn Den can also yield Mind. Entrances to both Draupnir and Krao Cave are available in Verteron and Altgard.

For recipes below the Wise and Ebony tier, use Will and Mind in place of Ego. Elyos gear in this tier belongs to the White Dragon Lord line, and the equivalent Asmodian gear is Dark Dragon Lord; the costs are identical.

Splendent White Dragon Lord armor calls for four Will on the Breastplate; Greaves and Boots take three each, while Helm, Pauldrons and Gloves take two apiece. In the Dark Dragon Lord set, Boots, Breastplate and Cloak each require two Mind; Gloves and Earrings also take two each. The Bow uses three Mind, as do the Dagger and Greatsword. True and Star Dragon Lord Greatswords are item level 62 with 365 Max Attack and require 10 Wrathful Mind, with no Will.

White Dragon Lord Greatsword needs no Blacksmithing mastery. The Splendent White Dragon Lord Greatsword requires Blacksmithing mastery 70 with an 80.1 percent base success rate, and stays tradable until soulbound. The Splendent White Dragon Lord Longsword (442 Max Attack) and Dagger (398) also need Blacksmithing 70, while the Necklace (318 Defense, 133 Attack) needs Jewelcrafting 75.
With a raid group, Eternal Ludra lets you pursue all three Wrathful materials in one place. Solo players can target Ego in the Fire Temple and Ferocious Horn Den, and Mind in Draupnir; for Will, take a party to Divine Auldor and Vakron. The Season Shop can cover any remaining needs before its December 16 cutoff. Extra farmed drops can be listed on public trade, as they never become bound.
