“…And My Sugar?” is the third main story mission in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the 2026 remake of the 2013 pirate adventure. It picks up after the Havana opening as Edward Kenway settles into the city during the Golden Age of Piracy, sitting between the early introduction missions and the first big story turns of the campaign.
Quick answer: “…And My Sugar?” unlocks after you finish main quest 2, “Lively Havana,” and completing it opens quest 4, “Mister Walpole, I Presume?” There is no separate side objective to trigger it, so you simply keep following the main story.

Where “…And My Sugar?” falls in the main quest order
The campaign runs in a fixed sequence, so each mission becomes available only after you clear the one before it. “…And My Sugar?” is the third entry, following the prologue and the Havana setup.
| No. | Main quest |
|---|---|
| 1 | Edward Kenway (Prologue) |
| 2 | Lively Havana |
| 3 | …And My Sugar? |
| 4 | Mister Walpole, I Presume? |
| 5 | A Man They Call the Sage |
Because the order is locked, you cannot skip ahead to “…And My Sugar?” or reach quest 4 without finishing it first. Clearing it is a required step toward the mid-game arcs that expand later in the story.

You will know the mission is active when it appears at the top of your objectives and a waypoint points you toward the next story beat. Once you complete it, the log advances to “Mister Walpole, I Presume?”

What the remake changes around this point
The Resynced version keeps the same core story and main characters as the original while rebuilding the visuals in the latest Anvil engine. Early on, you will notice the reworked combat, which adds new parrying, plus more flexible tailing missions and the ability to crouch anywhere during stealth. These changes affect how the opening Havana missions play, even though the mission order stays intact.
Note: Black Flag Resynced also layers in new story content beyond the original, including arcs tied to figures such as Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet and three officers who join the main narrative. Those additions sit alongside the returning missions rather than replacing the classic quest chain that includes “…And My Sugar?”
The remake is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect. You can find full platform and edition details on the official Ubisoft product page.
