Alpha Panpanta is the Water-element Alpha Aniimo that patrols the shoreline of Echoback Landing, in the Breezy Plains region. It is an overworld miniboss with an enlarged model, a fixed spawn point, and a single mechanical trick that decides how long the fight takes. Beating it also matters for collection players, since defeating it is what unlocks Panpanta as an evolution target.
Quick answer: Find it north of the Echoback Landing Bloom near the shore, dodge its boulder throw so the rock stays on the field, then bait its charge into that boulder to stun it.
Alpha Panpanta location in Echoback Landing
The spawn sits north of the Echoback Landing Bloom, on open ground next to the water. Unlock that Bloom first and the fast travel point drops you within a short run of the arena. The encounter respawns on a 20-second interval, so repeat attempts do not require leaving and re-entering the area.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Region | Breezy Plains |
| Area | Echoback Landing |
| Area level | Lv 36–37 |
| Element | Water |
| Respawn interval | 20s |
Echoback Landing is also the habitat for regular Panpanta, so the surrounding coast is a reasonable place to pick up extra Water-element catches while you are there.

Water is the boss’s element, so Lightning and Grass units carry the damage here. Bring a BREAK unit to convert the stun window into real damage, plus at least one healer or support to cover the slam and charge patterns.
- Lightning DPS: Fulmintis, Fenmane
- Lightning BREAK: Blazen
- Lightning support and energy: Luminelle, Dazmand, Besauce
- Grass DPS: Thornblade, Irisal, Irisalis
- Grass BREAK: Shrubclaw, Pomawk
- Ice options: Glynsera (DPS), Geoclaw (BREAK), Glacy (heal)
Match your party level to the Lv 36–37 area rating. Coming in well under that turns a two-minute fight into an attrition problem, because the stun window is short and you need enough damage to make it count.
How to stun Alpha Panpanta with its own boulder
The whole fight hinges on one environmental counter. Alpha Panpanta uses its shovel to launch a boulder at you, and that boulder does not disappear after the attack. It stays on the ground as a solid obstacle, and the boss will run straight into it if you position correctly.
If you miss the collision, do not panic-attack. Wait for the next boulder throw and reset the loop.
Water Cannonade and the puddle it leaves behind
Panpanta’s signature skill is Water Cannonade. It jumps and throws a large water ball that deals AoE damage, creates a water puddle on impact, and applies 5 stacks of Water Debuff to anything caught in the blast.
| Water Cannonade | Value |
|---|---|
| Element | Water |
| Power | 40 |
| EP cost | 20 |
| Cooldown | 1s |
| Tags | Puddle, BREAK |
Treat the landing zone as a no-stand area. The puddle is part of the species’ kit and feeds its water-based effects, so fighting from inside one is the easiest way to take avoidable chip damage while you are lining up the boulder play.
Catching Alpha Panpanta after the kill
Alpha Aniimo can only be captured once they have been defeated, so there is no risk of killing one you meant to catch. The game hands you a free Aniipod for the attempt, and the capture window is short. The base catch chance sits at 6%, which is why an Aniipod Ultra or a Sparkling Cube is the sensible choice if you want the creature rather than the materials.
Claiming the rewards costs 30 Primegy. A failed catch still pays out, so material farmers should always use the free Aniipod and complete the attempt. Backing out of the catch sequence gives you nothing, though it does not spend the Primegy either.
Defeating Alpha Panpanta is the unlock condition for evolving Popota into Panpanta at Lv. 39. The evolution itself costs Wave Stone x3, the same material this boss drops.
Alpha Panpanta rewards and drops
First clear pays a one-time bundle, after which the encounter settles into a repeatable material farm.

| Type | Reward |
|---|---|
| First clear | Wave Stone x5 |
| First clear | Safaris x500 |
| First clear | Glimmer x50 |
| First clear | Irisalis Petal x1 |
| First clear | Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains x1 |
| Repeat drops |
Repeat payouts scale with your current title. Every tier gives Safaris x150 and Windborn Stamps x10, while the Wave Stone count steps from 2 to 3 at III Wayfarer, and Credits climb from 4,000 at the lowest titles to 12,000 at II Trailblazer.
How to confirm the clear worked
Two things confirm success. The capture prompt appears with a free Aniipod once the health bar empties, and the first clear reward set lands in your inventory, including the Lumin Amber: Breezy Plains that counts toward Branch upgrades. If you were farming, check that Wave Stone has been added before you walk away.
For the evolution unlock specifically, open Popota’s entry in the Aniilog. The Gamma to Nova stage requirement should no longer be gated behind defeating the Alpha, leaving only the Lv. 39 requirement and the Wave Stone x3 cost. With the spawn respawning every 20 seconds, gathering those stones is a matter of repeating the boulder loop a handful of times.
