Flutternym is the winged Wind healer you will want early in Aniimo, and Nimbus Fields is the easiest place to farm one. The area sits inside the Breezy Plains region at a level range of 17–21, and Flutternym drifts around its open grass in small numbers rather than tight packs.

Quick answer: Teleport to the Nimbus Fields waypoint in Breezy Plains, glide down to the open field below it, and throw an Aniipod at any Flutternym floating over the grass.

Flutternym habitats: Where it spawns

Flutternym’s registered habitats cover four areas, and Nimbus Fields is by far the most convenient one at low level. The rest are gated behind progression or much higher level ranges.

  • Nimbus Fields (Lv. 17–21)
  • Sea of Flowers
  • Mistwoods
  • Blitzwood

Strays also turn up in the wider Breezy Plains grassland outside the Nimbus Fields boundary, including around the coordinates -1071, 0668. Wild ones in that stretch sit around level 19, so an early encounter is perfectly catchable.

How to catch Flutternym in Nimbus Fields

Open the world map while you are anywhere in Breezy Plains and find the Nimbus Fields block, labelled Lv. 17-21. Select the teleport gate inside it and travel there.

From the teleport gate, summon a flying or gliding Aniimo and drop down to the open field below. Flutternym hovers above the grass, so scan the air rather than the ground.
Aim at one and wait for the green lock-on reticle, then throw your Aniipod. An Aniipod Pro gives better odds if you have them, but a standard one works on wild Flutternym at this level.

Repeat on the others in the same field. Wild spawns here sit at level 18 and 19, and several fly within throwing range of each other, so one trip is usually enough to get a good one.

Flutternym is timid and hides when it senses danger, but the glowing scales it sheds give its position away.

Confirm the catch and pin future spawns

A successful throw adds the creature to your Aniimo party menu, where it is filed as No. 028 Flutternym. Open that menu and pick the new entry to check its level and stats.

Once you own one, the Forms tab on its page lists every area it lives in, and selecting Habitats paints every known spawn point on the map as yellow squares. That works for any caught species, so it doubles as a way to double-check a location in game instead of guessing.

Flutternym stats, role, and abilities

Flutternym is a Lumin stage Wind Aniimo in the Heal role, with Fly Lv. 1 as its pathfinding ability and Luminous Prowl as its mobility skill. Its base spread leans on HP and Regen rather than damage.

When Flutternym is your active Aniimo, its Flutter Heal trait boosts healing output by 20%. After leaving the field, it remains as a phantom; whenever any other Aniimo uses a skill or Ultimate, it recovers 0.5% of maximum HP. That utility makes it worth bringing even when it is not your current fighter.

Purifying Dance strips every debuff off nearby teammates and then pushes their EP recovery rate up by 20% for 10 seconds. Wind of Rejuvenation lays a warm wind zone under your feet that heals the whole team for 9% of Flutternym’s max HP over 8 seconds, with an extra 3% for Wind-type allies. Wind of Regeneration swaps healing for protection, shielding allies in the target area for 12% of the caster’s max HP for 20 seconds. Healing Dance and Phantom Dance round out the kit, the first adding 40% BREAK damage reduction inside the healing zone, the second cleansing the caster and auto-cleansing the active teammate from off field.

Luminous Prowl is the mobility option, dropping Flutternym into a Cloak state hidden by pink mist. Fly lets you press jump again in mid-air to take off, drawing on Stamina while you stay up.

Evolving Flutternym into Gracewing

Flutternym evolves into Gracewing, moving from Lumin to Nova stage. The requirement is a Lv. 21 Flutternym plus Gust Stone x3. Since Nimbus Fields tops out at level 21, a catch from here needs only a little extra levelling before it qualifies.

Other Flutternym forms

The one you catch in Nimbus Fields is the Basic Form. Three variants share the No. 028 slot in the Aniilog, and they do not spawn here.

Flutternym

  • Flutternym (No. 28A) — Wind, Heal
  • Sea of Flowers Flutternym (No. 28B)
  • Nighttime Flutternym (No. 28C) — Dark/Wind, appears in Sea of Flowers at night
  • Mountain Woods Flutternym (No. 28D)

Nighttime Flutternym follows the same evolution rules with one extra condition, becoming Nighttime Gracewing at Lv. 21 only while it is night. If you are chasing the full Aniilog page for No. 028, the Basic Form from Nimbus Fields is the cheapest one to tick off first.
